Others spammed the searches by tweeting MOMOLAND and Nancy's name alongside positive comments, such as many complimenting her visuals and calling her an amazing idol.

Many also encouraged fans to email MLD Entertainment, MOMOLAND's agency, to bring the issue to their attention and to promote them to take legal action to protect Nancy and the other MOMOLAND artists. Since it is being reported that the person who leaked the photo is a staff member, fans are also urging MLD Entertainment to terminate the said staff member and that they receive appropriate punishment. As of press time, MLD Entertainment nor Nancy have commented on the issue.

MOMOLAND made their comeback on Nov. 17, 2020, with the single album "Ready or Not," which contains the title track of the same name. MOMOLAND first made headlines in 2020 when former member Daisy revealed that the show that formed the group, "Finding Momoland," was rigged and that they had manipulated the votes. Despite her eliminated from the show, the agency called her and told her not to worry because they had plans to add her to the group. After taking a hiatus from the group in 2019, she exposed the company from barring her from returning to the group and was told she could only terminate her contract by paying a 1.1 billion won penalty fee. MLD Entertainment denied all the claims. On May 13, 2020, Daisy officially left the group.

In terms of Nancy, she was selected as the new endorsement model for skincare brand "Some By Mi" in Jan. 2020 and was selected due to her healthy and pure image that fits the brand's image. That same month, Nancy participated in a voluntary clean-up on Manila Bay in the Philippines, encouraging people to help save the environment.

Nancy was also confirmed to star in a new Filipino series titled "The Soulmate Project," where she plays a character named Binna. Her character is a Korean-American who lives in the Philippines. The thirteen-episode miniseries was slated to start production in 2020 and was meant to be filmed in both the Philippines and South Korea. Production has since been postponed to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic and the ABS-CBN shutdown. A trailer for the series was revealed on Dec. 20, 2020.
