According to JYP Entertainment on Jan. 14, 2PM (Jun. K, Nichkhun, Taecyeon, Wooyoung, Junho, and Chansung), who has been on a hiatus since 2017 to fulfill their mandatory military enlistment obligations, have agreed to make a comeback!

The comeback will be carried out after Junho, the last member of the group to partake in his mandatory military enlistment, is discharged. Soon, all six members will return to their fans as a whole.

2PM debuted in Sept. 2008 with the mini-album "Hottest Time of the Day" with the hit debut single "10 Out of 10". At the time, most boy groups would adopt a "flower boy" concept. 2PM was a breath of fresh air by debuting with a touch, macho beast-like image. The boys are credited with the "jimseung-dol" phenomenon in 2008. Jimseung means "beast" or "animal" in Korean.

Last year (2020), the group's 2015 release "My House" saw a sudden resurgence in popularity. The music video and fan cams of each member started going viral, with people praising the group's unique and rich atmosphere. The catchiness of the son also hooked listeners once more. "My House" was written and composed by Jun.K and is considered one of their representative songs, despite it being released later in the career.

Joining the "My House" craze includes many junior groups, such as Stray Kids, MONSTA X, and PENTAGON, who all released covers of the song. K-pop fans showered "My House" with affection, with people liking the sensual and mature energy the song gave off. With the sudden popularity of the song, many people have high expectations for 2PM's comeback and cannot wait to see the group's unique presence on stage again, with people wondering what concept and genre the group will pull off next.
