(G)I-DLE Tops K-Pop Radar's 'Weekly Top 10 Music Video' + See Full Rankings

(G)I-DLE, who recently made a comeback, has made a huge impression on K-pop fans with their new song as its music video is receiving much love since it was dropped.

On Jan. 19, K-pop Radar, an analytical service that gathers and observes data from artists or fan clubs' social media accounts, revealed that (G)I-DLE has taken the top position on their "Weekly Top 10 Music Video" chart which concerns music videos with the most views in the second week of January. The MV is, in fact, a new entry on the chart.

Together with (G)I-DLE, idol groups such as BTS, BLACKPINK, TWICE, and VICTON are included in the list, as well as the K-pop icon, PSY. TREASURE, a five-month boy band from YG Entertainment, even ranked high on the chart.

According to K-pop Radar, the music video for (G)I-DLE's "HWAA" gained a total of 36,637,201 views from Jan. 11 to Jan. 16. The MV for the song exceeded 10 million views in just 30 hours after it was released on Jan. 11. Among the countries that made a huge contribution to the YouTube views, India recorded the highest share with 15.5%. It was then followed by Korea with 14%, Indonesia with 6.5%, the Philippines with 6.4%, and Vietnam with 4.1%.

K-pop Radar shared that compared to last year's ratio, India has now become one of the countries where the popularity of K-pop has increased significantly. With (G)I-DLE's music video for "HWAA" having more views from India indicates the girl group's global popularity.

Besides the MV views for (G)I-DLE's "HWAA," the female act has also set their own best record with their fourth extended play titled "I Burn," in which the track serves as the lead single. The new mini-album debuted at No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums charts in 51 countries around the world, including Canada, Italy, Brazil, Russia, the Netherlands, Finland, and New Zealand. (G)I-DLE's "HWAA" also received lots of support as the lead single quickly hit No. 1 on the real-time charts of major music sites Bugs and Genie. It also peaked at No. 10 on Melon's 24Hit chart.

Meanwhile, in the latest "Weekly Top 10 Music Video" chart of K-pop Radar, BTS has three entries. "Dynamite" came in at No. 2 after earning 18,169,682 MV views in the past week. This song has been ranking on the chart for a long time, proving its continuous fame. BTS's "Life Goes On" is at No. 7 with 8,277,328 views, while "Boy with Luv" is at No. 8 with 8,200,839 views.

Sitting at No. 3 is another new entry, and it is TREASURE's "My Treasure" with 11,867,834 views. The track is a newly-released work of the boy group and serves as the lead single of TREASURE's very first full-length album titled "The First Step" Treasure Effect."

PSY's "Gangnam Style" claimed the No. 4 spot with 9,033,386 MV views. It was followed by BLACPINK's "How You Like That" with 8,912,343 views. Another song of the girl group entered the weekly chart - "DDU-DU DDU-DU" is at No. 10 with 7,645,051 views.

The third and last new entry on the chart is VICTON's "What I Said," which gained 7,690,017 views last week. Finally, TWICE's "I Can't Stop Me" had 7,661,296 views, taking the No. 9 position.
