For the fourth week of January, BTS, BLACKPINK, (G)I-DLE, AB6IX, and more dominated various categories in Gaon Weekly Charts!
Gaon Charts, a relative ranking for the most popular songs or albums in South Korea each week just updated their website, revealing the K-pop artists and groups that dominated the charts in various categories for the fourth week of January.
According to the data accumulated from January 17 to January 23, the "biggest K-pop groups" including BTS and BLACKPINK topped the charts along with icons TVXQ and EPIK HIGH.
Rising stars AB6IX, CRAVITY, and prominent group (G)I-DLE topped their respective categories as well.
TVXQ Yunho Reigned in Gaon Weekly Album Charts Ranking + AB6IX Aced the Download Chart
For this week's physical album chart, TVXQ Yunho, who recently released his long-awaited second solo mini-album, "NOIR" on Jan. 18, debuted at No. 1.
Trailing behind him are the rising K-pop boy groups ONEUS, CRAVITY, and AB6IX, who ranked second to fourth places, respectively.
ONEUS, who released their first full-length album "DEVIL," also grabbed the fifth spot for the "Download Chart" through its title track, "No Diggity." Recently, the group ranked fourth at K-pop Radar's "Weekly Top 10 Music Videos" for fourth week, proving its popularity.

Meanwhile, AB6IX, is indeed earning hot responses for their repackage album, "SALUTE: A NEW HOPE," along the lead single "STAY YOUNG" as it became this week's No. 1 Most downloaded song.
As for the skyrocketing girl group, (G)I-DLE, their latest mini-album "I burn" with their title track "HWAA" is still at the the top five after ranking No. 3 and No. 1 last week, for Album and Download charts, consecutively.
EOIK HIGH then have the two slots for Download chart, No. 2 and No. 3 through their double title tracks, "Based on a True Story" and "Rosario."
Streaming Chart, Social Chart, and Overall Digital Chart
For the fourth week of January, BTS, BLACKPINK and (G)I-DLE are the K-pop groups that dominated the three charts.
Starting at the streaming chart, BTS's "Dynamite" and BLACKPINK's "Lovesick Girls" ranked third and fifth places, respectively. Both songs were released in 2020, a proof that the support for the hit tracks is unrelenting.
For Social Chart, "the largest groups" BLACKPINK and BTS ranked first and second, while (G)I-DLE showed their massive popularity as they ranked No. 4.
Lastly, "Dynamite" ranked third at the overall digital ranking, along with (G)I-DLE's "HWAA" at No. 5.
