Lotte has, finally, confirmed the rumors about BLACKPINK member Jennie replacing Suzy Bae as the official endorser of Chum-Churum. A new poster featuring the "Lovesick Girls" hitmaker holding a glass of the beverage was also released on Tuesday, Feb. 2.
Lotte Welcomes BLACKPINK Jennie to Its family
The South Korean multinational conglomerate was pleased to announce that BLACKPINK member Jennie was tapped to endorse its popular Soju brand. Lotte divulged, in a statement on the new endorsement contract, that the K-pop idol's "various charms" is one of the many reasons why she was chosen to be the newest face of Chum-Churum.
It added that the co-member of Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé has been getting love from her avid followers because of her sweet image. The achievements of BLACKPINK have also made Jennie one of the greatest music icons of her generation.
The brand even shared that the full advertisement campaign and materials with BLACKPINK member Jennie would be released very soon. As of now, a photo of the "How You Like That" singer was uploaded on the official Instagram page of the Chum-Churum.

Before Jennie, Suzy Bae was picked to endorse Chum-Churum. During her time, the "Start-Up" actress was able to help the brand generate more sales and recognitions for five years.
Hyolyn, Goo Hara, Hyuna and Lee Hyori used to model the beverage in the past. Other stars who endorse soju brands include Red Velvet member Irene and IU for Chamisul, and Apink member Naeun for Joeun Day among others.
Landing a deal with Chum-churum marks the second solo endorsement of Jennie in the food and beverage industry. As a matter of fact, the "Ice Cream" singer was also tapped to endorse Lotte's Air Baked snack line.
BLACKPINK Jennie Nabbed Second Spot in Top K-Pop Stars in January List
It comes as no surprise that several brands have trusted Jennie to become its face as the BLACKPINK member continues to dominate individual brand rankings. Recently, the Korean Research Business Institute revealed the names of Top K-Pop idols for January 2021.
BTS member Jimin reigned supreme as he got the top spot. The "Dynamite" singer got a total of 8,016,940 brand reputation index. Among the high-ranking phrases in the idol's keyword analysis are "birthday," "ARMY," "chosen," "surpass," "celebrate" and "Sarang."
BLACKPINK Jennie, then, came in second place with 7,782,727 brand reputation index. The co-member of Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé received 224.09 percent increase in her score since November 2020.
Other K-Pop personalities who made it to the Top 15 include BTS members V, Jungkook, Jin, and Suga, who all took the third to sixth places, respectively. Kang Daniel nabbed the seventh spot while Yunho of TVXQ, Cha Eun Woo of ASTRO, and RM of BTS secured the seventh to eight to tenth places.
BLACKPINK member Jisoo, BTS member J-Hope, BLACKPINK member Rose, MAMAMOO member Hwasa and EXO Baekhyun ranked eleventh to fifteenth, respectively.
