[Trigger Warning/Content Warning: Racism, Xenophobia]
Avid followers of BLACKPINK member Lisa jumped to her defense after her critics lambasted her again with racist comments on Twitter on Tuesday, Feb. 3.
BLACKPINK's Lisa Received Backlash, Racist Comments from Online Users
Vilifiers attacked BLACKPINK member Lisa, following the success of the K-Pop group's virtual concert "THE SHOW" on Sunday, Jan. 31. Screenshots of private group chats featuring harsh comments against the "How You Like That" singer/dancer went viral on Twitter.
In the said snaps, one critic stated he thinks Lisa does not get so much value as a popstar before accusing the BLACKPINK member of sleeping or making out with someone who has quite a reputation in the entertainment industry to help her achieve her dreams of becoming a star.

Another member of the group chat wrote that Lisa's home country, Thailand, is such a "sh*tty" place for allegedly being the top country in terms of woman trafficking. It went on to say that she thinks Lisa is no longer a pristine woman as people in her country reportedly sell the virginity of young girls, adding that the BLACKPINK member has nothing to lose anymore.
Lisa has not commented on the malicious remarks up to this writing. However, devoted followers of the "Ice Cream" hitmaker quickly defended her from all the libelous claims and disparagements she received at the time. BLINKs then trending the hashtag #RespectLisa as they advocate to stop being racist and attacking the BLACKPINK member.
Most, if not all, fans are aware that Lisa got the same comments from her critics who made an issue to the fact that she is the only member of BLACKPINK who is not Korean. Fortunately for the co-member of Jennie, Jisoo and Rosé, the outpouring support she got made her the most followed K-pop artist on various social media sites.
BLACKPINK Member Jisoo Humiliated for Not Speaking English Fluently
Aside from Lisa, another BLACKPINK member was attacked by some bashers recently. Denigrators reignited the issue of Jisoo's inability to speak English fluently.
Bashers claimed that Jisoo should start improving her English since she is an international star already. Some even noticed how the "Lovesick Girls" songstress becomes speechless and, sometimes, quiet whenever BLACKPINK is being interviewed. While other suggest that it is due to the K-Pop idol's timidness, critics claimed that it is because she is inarticulate.
Since Jisoo has remained tight-lipped about the issue, her devoted supporters came to her defense on social media. Some fans demanded her critics to stop forcing the "Forever Young" singer to speak in English as she is still learning the ropes, adding that they should not disregard the fact that the co-member of Lisa, Jennie and Rosé is, actually, fluent in the Korean and Chinese languages.
Other followers of Jisoo said people should focus on her exemplary visual and talent instead of criticizing her inability to speak in the English language. Apart from the hashtag #ProtectJisoo, #XenophobiaIsNotAJoke also trended on Twitter.
