The "Weekly Idol" show of MBC every1 would be celebrating its 500th episode very soon. On Thursday, Feb. 4, it was made known that the show would be inviting some guests to commemorate its latest milestone.
'Weekly Idol' to Invite Super Junior, MONSTA X, Oh My Girl, and More
Among the personalities, viewers should watch out for in the upcoming episodes of "Weekly Idol" are Super Junior members Shindong and Donghae. The pair, which is expected to perform some of their most popular hits such as "Sorry, Sorry," "Black Suit," "SUPER Clap" and "U" among others, will join their co-member Eunhyuk.

Apart from the co-members of program host Eunhyuk, reports stated that GFRIEND's SinB and Yerin will also be dropping by. It remains to be seen if the twosome will perform on "Weekly Idol." If so, avid followers of the group are thrilled to hear their own versions of "Me Guestas Tu," "Navillera," "Apple," "Glass Bead," "LOVE WHISPER," "Rough," "Crossroads," and "Summer Rain."
If that is not enough, MONSTA X members Hyungwon and Minhyuk are also reported to appear on the 500th episode of "Weekly Idol." Oh My Girl members Mimi and Hyojung are also likely to be seen in the forthcoming episode.
The special episode of "Weekly Idol" will air on Feb. 24. Fans of Super Junior, GFriend, MONSTA X and Oh My Girl should watch out for the show's 500th as there are more surprises prepared for them.
Super Junior Kim Heechul Set to Host JTBC's 'Hurrah for Independence'
Meanwhile, aside from Shindong and Donghae, Super Junior member Kim Heechul and Boom are set to appear on a variety show titled "Hurrah for Independence" as hosts.
The new show features some celebrities who never tried living independently in their entire lives. In other words, it will center on the lives of these personalities throughout their goal to live independently. These celebrities will also need to find their own house where they can start the new chapters of their lives.
Some of the names confirmed to become part of the "Hurrah for Independence" show are Jaejae, AKMU members Lee Suhyun and Lee Chanhyuk, and Song Eun Yi. Unconfirmed spoilers suggested that Jaejae will have a 9-to-5 job to sustain his needs and would need to keep house for himself.
AKMU's Lee Suhyun and Lee Chanhyuk will move out of their parents' house. The siblings are expected to show their new life as 20-somethings who want to gain freedom and independence for the very first time. Song Eun Yi, for her part, will start living without her mom at 48 years old.
With Super Junior member Kim Heechul and Boom as hosts, viewers can expect a delightful and enjoyable show. "Hurrah for Independence" is slated to premiere on Feb. 22 at 10:30 KST on JTBC.
