K-Pop has been receiving a lot of attention lately, especially since more and more acts have started to penetrate music charts and make waves on social media and YouTube.
IU, Kyung Seo and BTS Lead Latest Instiz Chart
Recently, the latest rankings of the Instiz Chart were released. For starters, the said chart is a combination of music sales and how the songs appeal to fans. This week, IU topped the Instiz Chart Singles Ranking for with her hit track called "Celebrity." The singer-actress got a total of 31,305 points.
Coming in the second spot is Kyung Seo with "Shiny Star," which garnered more than 14,800 points this week. "Dynamite" by BTS got 11,947 point, which landed them in the third spot.10cm's "Borrow Your Night," then, followed in fourth spot with 11,113 points while "VVS" by Mushvenom, Miranni, Khundi Panda, Munchman and JUSTHIS got 8,546 points that landed them in the fifth spot.
Other tracks that made it to the list are "Can't Sleep" by Jang Bum Joon at No. 6 with more than 6,800 points, "Lovesick Girls" by BLACKPINK at No. 7 with more than 6,600 points and "I'm Not Cool" by HyunA at No. 8 with more than 6,061 points. "Slightly Tipsy" by Sandeul was listed at No. 9 with 5,960 points and "Eight" by IU and BTS member Suga wrapped up the Top 10 with 5,337 points.

IU Clinches Third Win On 'Inkigayo' With 'Celebrity'
Meanwhile, IU reigned supreme in the latest episode of "Inkigayo" of SBS. The South Korean singer-songwriter won the first place for the third time with her chart-topping single titled "Celebrity."
(G)I-DLE by "HWAA" came close in the second place while "I'm Not Cool" by HyunA landed in the third spot this week. Among the performers on this week's episode were iKON member Bobby, ONEUS, Cherry Bullet, CRAVITY, T1419, TREASURE, Song Ga In, Dreamcatcher, Golden Child, UP10TION member Kim Woo Seok, Na Sang Do, Youha, HyunA and Kim Yeon Ja.
For starters, IU released "Celebrity" on Jan. 27, 2021. The track, which is described as a song with a cheerful pop sound, is a part of the singer's imminent new album that would be released later this year. She first revealed the title of the song on Jan. 15 via social media.
IU confirmed her comeback to the music scene during the 35th Golden Disc Awards. The songstress was given a chance to deliver a speech after she won the Song of the Year award for her song titled "Blueming." At the time, she said she wants to drop new songs to bring sincere comfort and feeling of hope to everyone who have been badly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Then, IU added she thinks doing so would also refresh and give her devoted followers enough strength as the world continues to face the perils brought by the present global health crisis. As of press time, the official music video of "Celebrity" has garnered more than 31.8 million views, 1.8 million likes and more than 100,000 comments on YouTube already.
