Red Velvet released several songs in 2019 but their latest track "Psycho" from their eighth extended play "The ReVe Festival: Finale" just hits different, leading it to soar high on charts including MelOn.

MelOn is South Korea's biggest music platform with more than 28 million users, as well as among the most famous online music stores. It tallies actual or unique listeners instead of streams. Hence, for a song to be able to enter this music streaming service, especially on the year-end charts, the work must be listened to and loved not only by the fans but the general public.

MelOn Releases 2020 Yearly Chart Including the Top 10 Songs with Highest Unique Listeners

On Feb. 9, MelOn has released its annual year-end chart for 2020 and it includes the top 10 idol group songs with the most listeners. And based on the chart, Red Velvet is the highest-charting girl group with their latest hit song "Psycho." In particular, the track is in second place among the 10 K-pop group singles.

What makes this achievement more worth noting is that Red Velvet's "Psycho" was launched in December 2019, so even if a year already passed by, "Psycho" remained the most-loved and most-listened-to song among the female Korean acts.
