Recently, GOT7 grabbed its first trophy at the 5th TOP TEN AWARDS just almost a month since leaving JYP Entertainment in January!
TOP TEN AWARDS (TTA) is the No. 1 global K-pop awards in South Korea since 2018. It picks the best artists in different countries every year. A global vote can only be experienced at TTA and fans from 10 countries can participate such as Korea, Japan, China, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Mexico, United States, and the United Kingdom. Nominated artists at TTA come from various entertainment agencies in South Korea and are either idol groups or soloists.
Voting Process of TOP TEN AWARDS
The voting process of Korea's TTA consists of two rounds, the preliminary and final. In the prelims, fans from the 10 countries mentioned above will vote for their favorite artist, and whoever gets the most votes in each country will be named the "Best Artist." This means that there would be 10 top artists assuming that votes vary in every nation. The "Best Artist" by country will receive a trophy and will be featured in Tenstar magazine special articles.
As for the final round, the top artist of each country who won in the prelims are qualified. Unlike the first round where fans can only participate in their own country voting, the last round is open to all fans living in the 10 countries. The winning act will be named the "Artist in the Second Half of 2020" and will be given the opportunity to be featured on a Tenstar magazine ad and special articles.
