On Monday, Feb. 15, former AOA member ChoA appeared on an online production presentation for the tvN variety show "On and Off." There, she shocked fans with her changed visuals. Keep on reading to learn more.
ChoA's Return to the Entertainment Industry
ChoA appeared in an only press presentation for tvN's "On and Off" on Feb. 15, marking the former AOA member's return to the entertainment industry after leaving the group and FNC Entertainment three years prior. During the event, ChoA was seen alongside singers Uhm Jung Hwa, Sung Si Kyung, and Nuksal.
She initially appeared in front of fans and reporters wearing a mask but later removed it to take photos. ChoA is seen wearing pastel-tone make-up. Fans of AOA and ChoA are familiar with the look, as it is similar to what she wore as an idol. The former idol was also seen with brown hair, which was relatively new to fans, as she often sported blonde hair with AOA. Her hair was also considerably longer now than when she was with AOA.
ChoA was seen wearing a long, white, lacy dress. She smiled brightly for the cameras, waving as she posed, and even making heart fingers for the reporters and fans who were watching. She looks significantly happier now, and fans are glad to see it.
This is the first time in three years that ChoA is returning to the entertainment industry. Following her departure from AOA and FNC Entertainment, ChoA had intended to stay out of the limelight. She had no official activities and sparingly shared videos of herself singing on her YouTube channel. Now, however, it appears ChoA is ready to return and great fans once more.
Why Did ChoA Choose to Appear on "On and Off"?
During the press conference for the show, ChoA revealed that she was curious about how people spent their free time during the period in which she had no activities. Since "On and Off" is a show that revolves around that thought, she decided that she wanted to appear on the show and is grateful for the opportunity. She compliments the MCs of "On and Off," saying they are great and that she had fun and laughed a lot as they recorded.
"On and Off" is a documentary-reality variety program which aims to capture the lifestyles and habits of celebrities during their working hours - or "ON" camera - as well as during their downtime, or when the camera is "OFF."
The show will begin airing on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 10:30 PM KST.
ChoA's Most Recent Whereabouts
Besides ChoA's appearance on the variety show "On and Off," the former AOA member released the song "Here I Am," as part of the soundtrack for the KBS2 drama "To All The Guys Who Loved Me," which is also known as "Men are Men." In 2021, she also released the song "Thorn" for the KakaoTV drama "Lovestruck in the City".
In Aug. 21, it was revealed that ChoA signed with Great M Entertainment. The agency is founded by Kim Young Sun, who was previously a founding member and managing director of FNC Entertainment.
