NCT 127, officially, came back to the music scene after they released the music video of the "Gimme Gimme" track, which is said to be the carrier single of their imminent "Loveholic" album. On Tuesday, Feb. 16, devoted followers of the group were given another reason to celebrate after the said music video received a whopping number of views just a few hours after it was uploaded on YouTube.
NCT 127 Reaches New Milestone With 'Gimme Gimme' Music Video
SMTOWN uploaded the official music video of "Gimme Gimme" by NCT 127 on Monday, Feb. 15, on YouTube. NCTzens were quick to express their joy and excitement on social media with some sharing some snaps and screenshots of the clip.
As usual, the dropping of the new "Gimme Gimme" music video by NCT 127 received massive support from their avid followers. As a matter of fact, the said clip amassed more than 1 million views in its first 9 hours in the video streaming site, which is another milestone for the NCT subunit.
As of this writing, the official "Gimme Gimme" music video by NCT 127 has garnered more than 6.1 million views already. At the same time, it also got more than 1.1 million likes and more than 169,000 comments.
Among other SM Entertainment artists, NCT 127's "Gimme Gimme" now holds the record for having the highest views for a Japanese music video in its first 24 hours. The said clip is expected to surpass more view marks in the coming days.
"Gimme Gimme," as seen and heard in its official music video, is a combination of powerful rap and hip-hop music that centers on the feelings of giving in to an addictive attraction to someone. WINWIN, Taeyong, Mark Lee, Haechan, Doyoung, Taeil, Johnny, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, and Yuta Nakamoto appeared so stunning in their all-black outfits as they dance away to the beat of their new track.
For starters, "Gimme Gimme" is part of the second Japanese mini-album of NCT 127 called "Loveholic." The newest EP of WINWIN, Taeyong, Mark Lee, Haechan, Doyoung, Taeil, Johnny, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, and Yuta Nakamoto is scheduled for release on Wednesday, Feb. 17.

'Gimme Gimme' Dominates Various Music Charts Following Shocking Release
Meanwhile, it was revealed that "Gimme Gimme" is not only making waves on YouTube as it has also penetrated some of the major music charts around the world. As of Feb. 15, the track nabbed the top spot of Genie's J-Pop Daily Chart and MelOn J-Pop Daily Chart.
In the Line Music Chart, "Gimme Gimme" by NCT 127 secured the second spot right away after its release. The same song also became one of the most searched keywords in the MelOn Real-Time Search.
Not long ago, NCT joined BTS and SEVENTEEN as the only South Korean boybands to ever earn multiple Million Certifications on Gaon. The "RESONANCE Pt. 1" and "RESONANCE Pt. 2" albums received the Million certification each. "Neo Zone," on the other hand, for the 3x PLATINUM certification while "Reload" and "Neo Zone: The Final Round" both got the 2x Platinum certifications.
Other albums that got the Gaon Platinum certifications are "EMPATHY," "Regular-Regular," "WE ARE SUPERHUMAN" and "We Boom." The upcoming "Loveholic" album of NCT 127 is also expected to earn the same success as its predecessors.
