BTS, BLACKPINK, (G)I-DLE and aespa Achieve New Milestones
On Saturday, Feb. 20, it was reported that BTS, BLACKPINK, (G)I-DLE, and aespa have made note-worthy moves on the Billboard Digital Song Sales chart this week. It was reported that these K-Pop groups continue to make waves in the music scene as their tracks have been reappearing to various tallies time and again.
"DDU-DU DDU-DU" by BLACKPINK has reappeared on the Billboard Digital Song Sales chart recently. The song, which is the first and carrier single of Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé's "Square Up" album, was listed at No. 22 on the 25-spot chart. All in all, the said song already spent 90 weeks on the tally, which makes it one of the longest-charting songs of all time on the list.
aespa may be new in the music scene, but the South Korean girl group has been smashing records since their official launch on Nov. 17, 2020. This week, "Forever" by Karina, Ningning, Winter and Giselle landed on No. 11 of the Billboard Digital Song Sales chart. This is the second track of aespa to ever enter the tally. Their first single called "Black Mamba" peaked at No. 5 last year.
"HWAA" by (G)I-DLE also secured a spot on the latest Billboard Digital Song Sales chart. The track, which was popularized by Shuhua, Yuqi, Soyeon, Soojin, Minnie, and Miyeon, made a major leap for jumping to No. 7 from No. 20 last week. With this latest feat, it is safe to say that the future is bright for the South Korean girl group.
BTS, as expected, has made it big again as it continues its streak on the tally with its trending track called "Euphoria." The song, which was part of Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, V, Suga, and RM's "Love Yourself: Answer" album, has maintained its spot in the Top 5. Despite the fact that the track was released two years ago, many fans continue to purchase it that it celebrated a full year on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart.
