The male idol has now broken the record set by PSY nine years ago with his hit "Gangnam Style," which attained the top of 86 iTunes charts in 2012. In addition, the BTS member is now the first solo artist in history to be atop Japan's iTunes Top Songs chart with a song launched in Korea.

What makes this feat more impressive is that V's "Sweet Night" was a soundtrack for a drama and had no promotions or even a music video starring V. Meanwhile, "Inner Child" now has 94 No. 1s on the chart. Considering this, the BTS member is the only act to have two songs with more than 90 No. 1s on the said chart.

Congratulations, BTS V!
