There is no denying that more and more K-pop acts have been making waves in various audio streaming platforms and numerous music charts around the globe. As a matter of fact, 2020 was proclaimed as the biggest year for K-Pop since several South Korean artists have achieved feats even amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Tuesday, March 2, Hanteo revealed the best-selling female K-Pop albums in February 2021. Though there were only a few K-Pop albums released by female acts last month, some EPs released in previous months continue to generate sales.
Hanteo Reveals Female K-Pop Acts with the Most Album Sales Last Month
According to the South Korean music company, Dreamcatcher sold the most album copies last month. "Dystopia: Road to Utopia" has sold more than 22,500 copies in February alone. The EP, with the carrier single called "Odd Eye," was bought more than 85,400 times since its release on Jan. 20, 2021.
Coming in second place is Chungha, who sold 14,000 copies of her first studio album called "Querencia" last month. The said EP was released on Feb. 15, 2021. Taeyeon, on the other hand, secured the third spot with her fourth mini-album titled "What Do I Call You?" which was bought 13,300 times in February. The EP has sold more than 104,800 copies since its release on Dec. 15, 2020.
Red Velvet made it to No. 4 with "The ReVe Festival: Finale" album. Hanteo records show that the EP, with the carrier single "Psycho," has sold a total of 7,552 copies last month. So far, it has sold more than 83,700 copies since its release on Dec. 23, 2019.
On the other hand, Cherry Bullet nabbed the fifth spot with its first mini-album called "Cherry Rush." The EP, with the carrier single "Love So Sweet," was sold 6,495 times last month. As of this writing, it has sold more than 14,500 copies since its release on Jan. 20, 2021.
(G)I-DLE also made it big last month as its "I Burn" album sold a total of 5,894 copies in February, which landed the group in No. 6. The said EP, with "HWAA" as its title song, has sold more than 140,000 copies since its release on Jan. 11, 2021.

BLACKPINK Secures Two Spots in the Hanteo's February 2021 Sales Ranking
As expected, BLACKPINK, which is considered the biggest girl group in recent times, made it to the list as well. In fact, the YG Entertainment-formed group secured two spots this time.
The group ranked seventh after it sold 5,026 copies of "THE ALBUM" last month. The latest EP of Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé has sold more than 768,800 copies since its official launch on Oct. 6, 2020.
The "Lovesick Girls" singers also sold 2,409 copies of their "Kill This Love" album in February, which secured them another spot on the list at No. 10. BLACKPINK, by far, has sold more than 253,600 copies of the said EP since its release on April 23, 2019.
Other female K-Pop acts who made it to the list include IZ*ONE, who sold 4,927 copies of "One-Reeler/Act IV," at No. 8. HyunA, who was able to sell 3,918 copies of her "I'm Not Cool" album, was listed at No. 9.
