Former The Ark and UNI.T's Lee Suji Shows Support for Former APRIL's Lee Hyunjoo
On Wednesday, Mar. 3, Lee Suji (who was formerly known as Halla while a member of The Ark) shared a photo of former APRIL member Hyunjoo on her Instagram. In the photo, the two are seen having a meal together, with Suji being the photographer and Hyunjoo as the center. Along with the photo was the caption, "I sincerely that I hope I can be a source of strength to you too."
Lee Suji and Lee Hyunjooo both debuted in UNI.T in 2018 after participating in the KBS survival show, "THE UNIT," and earned a spot in the final line-up. The show was unique in the sense that it centered around already debuted idols who were unable to shine during their active times or idols who lost their fame. UNI.T promoted for 5 months and soon disbanded after their contract expired.
Former UNI.T Yoonjo Also Shows Support For Former APRIL's Hyunjoo
Lee Suji is actually the second UNI.T member to show support for Hyunjoo. Yoonjo was the first to do so on her Instagram Stories. A fan had asked Yoonjo to share a warm message to Hyunjoo, and there she revealed that the UNI.T group chat has been actively speaking about the issue and supporting Hyunjoo. She asks people to stop harassing her and bothering her with unnecessary attention, as no one other than her, her friends, and her family can fully understand the pain Hyunjoo endured.
The Allegations That APRIL Bullied Hyunjoo Out of the Group
On Feb. 28, a user on an online community forum claiming to be Hyunjoo's younger brother made a post claiming that Hyunjoo was forced to leave the group after being bullied and harassed by the APRIL members. He revealed that his sister was bullied so intensely that she suffered from breathing difficulties, and she had even attempted to take her own life.

He noted that Hyunjoo was suffering from breathing difficulties and fainting spells, but neither the company nor the members had brought her to the hospital. DSP Media also prohibited Hyunjoo from taking her medication since it would make her drowsy and would get in the way of APRIL's music show promotions and rehearsals.
DSP Media has since announced that they will be taking legal action against Hyunjoo, her friends, and her family who are spreading "one-sided facts on the truth."
