(G)I-DLE Soojin's Agency Issues a Statement Following Idol's Bullying Accusations

Cube Entertainment shared that it has been trying its best to verify the allegations thrown at (G)I-DLE member Soojin. The agency asked for the understanding of everyone as it took them some time to carefully look into the past events alongside some former teachers and co-students of the South Korean singer.

According to Cube Entertainment, (G)I-DLE member Soojin was involved in a heated argument. However, it noted that there are no enough pieces of evidence to prove that she bullied or inflicted violence as claimed by the alleged victim.

It was even revealed that the agency tried to set up meetings between (G)I-DLE member Soojin and her alleged victim. But, as per Cube Entertainment, the accuser and other parties involved refused to show up to the said meeting. The company made it clear that it is very much willing to arrange a meeting anytime should the concerned people change their minds. Cube Entertainment, in the latter part of the statement, disclosed that (G)I-DLE member Soojin has decided to stop doing all promotional activities temporarily, adding that the girl group would continue with five members for the time being.

(G)I-DLE Soojin Called a School Bully by an Alleged Former Schoolmate

Meanwhile, the hiatus announcement of Soojin came more than a week after bullying allegations against her made rounds online. It was suggested that the accuser is actress Seo Shin Ae, who was a former classmate of the (G)I-DLE member.

Some fans recalled the "Thank You" star, previously, shared that her schoolmates bullied her when she was still in middle school. Adding fuel to the fire are the testimony of an unidentified insider, who claimed that she witnessed how Soojin bullied Shin Ae verbally.

On February 23, the accuser revealed that the legal representative of Cube Entertainment reached out to them and said that they wanted to meet with the alleged victim. The source said she could not fathom why the supposed sufferer needed to contact her agency's legal representative.

The accuser, then, disclosed that she is very much willing to meet and talk with the (G)I-DLE Soojin's camp. However, if the accused and alleged victim both refuse to talk and settle things, she must speak with the lawyers to meet them. The plot got thicker when Seo Shin Ae wrote "none of your excuses" in one of her Instagram stories.

Following the controversial post of the South Korean actress, (G)I-DLE member Soojin released a statement and denied that she bullied someone back in middle school. Not only that, Soojin stood firm that she is innocent and claimed she can never imagine inflicting pain to anyone. The (G)I-DLE member also shared that she and Seo Shin Ae never talked to each other when they were still attending the same school.
