On March 3, an anonymous person created a post with the title, "Lee Hyunjoo's Instagram story when the AOA incident occurred," in a particular online community forum. The netizen uploaded a screenshot of the former APRIL member's Instagram story, which shows the lyrics to a song titled "Hopeful" by Bars & Melody, a British pop duo.
The track is based around the music and lyrics of Twista's 2005 single "Hope." The duo then rewrote the song to convey their pains from their school violence experiences and bullying and then titling it "Hopeful." The song was later performed in the British audition program "British Got Talent" in 2014.
The lyrics to the song that former APRIL Hyunjoo posted via an Instagram story was the first verse, which expresses the feeling of being alone, carrying the burden for many years, and not knowing where she belongs. After seeing this post, many were saddened about the possibility that the female idol was sending signals about her own bullying experience at that time.
Unfortunately, no one seems to have realized that that was the former APRIL member's case during AOA's controversy.
