IU's 'Celebrity', (G)I-DLE's 'HWAA' & More are the Most-Streamed 2021 K-pop Songs on Spotify so Far

More and more K-pop acts have been dominating various music charts worldwide. On Thursday, March 4, the list of the most streamed 2021 songs by K-pop artists on Spotify have been unveiled.

IU, (G)I-DLE & HyunA Get the Most Streams on Spotify So Far

South Korean popstar royalty IU dominated the list with her chart-topping track called "Celebrity." As per reports, the non-album digital single of the "Dream High" star has amassed a whooping 20.6 million streams on Spotify as of March 2021. The song was revealed on Jan. 27, 2021.

Coming in second place is (G)I-DLE with their trending single titled "HWAA." Data suggested that the said song has been streamed more than 15.3 million times on the said music streaming platform. The said track, which is the carrier single of the girl group's "I Burn" album was released on Jan. 11, 2021.

HyunA did not fail her devoted followers as she ranked at No. 3 with her song called "I'm Not Cool." As of this writing, the track already generated more than 11.5 million streams on Spotify. Most, if not all, followers of the sultry songstress are aware that the said song is part of her "I'm Not Cool" album, which was released on Jan. 28, 2021.

Other K-pop songs that gathered the most streams on Spotify include "My Treasure" by TREASURE with 7.97 million streams, "I'm Missing You" by Sunjae with 6.55 million streams, "Odd Eye" by Dreamcatcher with 6.12 million streams, "Rosario" by Epik High with 6.10 million streams, "Starlight" by Chani with 5.29 million streams, "Bicycle" by Chungha with 4.95 million streams and "Gimme Gimme" by NCT 127 with 4.52 million streams.

SHINee, IU, ONF & BLACKPINK Top Gaon Weekly Charts

Meanwhile, SHINee ranked at No. 1 in the most recent Gaon Physical Album chart. The South Korean boyband made it to the highest rank with its studio album called "Don't Call Me," which serves as the group's comeback EP after years of hiatus.

"Love Synonym #2: Right for Us" by Wonho entered the said tally at No. 2, followed by the "ONF:MY NAME" album of ONF at No. 3. "IDENTITY:Challenge" by Wei and "We Go Up" by NCT DREAM nabbed the fourth and fifth spots this week.

For the Gaon Overall Digital Chart, "Celebrity" by IU topped the tally again for the fifth time. "Shiny Star (2020)" by KyongSeo and "Don't Call Me" by SHINee secured the second and third spots. "Dynamite" by BTS and "VVS" by MUSHVENOM, Khundi Panda, Muchman, Mirani and JUSTTHIS, on the other hand, ranked fourth and fifth, respectively.

"Beautiful Beautiful" by ONF dominated the Gaon Download Chart this week, followed by "PARANOIA" by Kang Daniel and "Don't Call Me" by SHINee in the second and third positions. Meanwhile, "Don't Look Back" by SECHKIES and "TAIL" by Sunmi rounded up the Top 5.

As for the Gaon Social Chart, BLACKPINK reigned supreme at No. 1, with BTS and Im Young Woong at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots. Lee Chan Won nabbed the No. 4 spot while Jang Min Ho was listed at No. 5.
