There is no denying that "Inkigayo" is one of the most popular music programs in South Korea. On Sunday, March 7, the show marked a new milestone as its newest host and awarded SHINee their fourth trophy.
'Inkigayo' Awards SHINee Another Trophy, Welcomes NCT's Sungchan
SHINee reached another milestone after it garnered its fourth music show trophy for "Don't Call Me" in recent episode of the "Inkigayo" show. Members were pitted against KyoungSeo and Sunmi for the grand prize.
In the end, SHINee reigned supreme with the exemplary performance of their latest single.
Aside from SHINee, KyoungSeo, and Sunmi, other K-pop acts who performed during this week's episode include PIXY, KINGDOM, J.Don, Wei, Wonho, ONF, MCND, and Golden Child.
Rain also made his comeback with the track titled "Why Don't We," which also features Kim Chung Ha. ATEEZ also hit the stage with their song called "Fireworks (I'm the One)."
VERIVERY, on the other hand, performed "Get Away" while G-reyish made their comeback with "Blood Night."
iKON treated viewers with a special performance of their new song called "Why Why Why" while ABOUT U took the center stage and sang "Time to Shine."
Another highlight in the more recent episode of "Inkigayo" is the debut of NCT member Sungchan, who officially joined the show as one of its regular emcees. The "Light Bulb" hitmaker joined IZ*ONE member Yujin and TREASURE member Jihoon.

SHINee Members Share Behind-the-Scenes Recording of "Don't Call Me"
Meanwhile, SHINee revealed the recording of their trending single titled "Don't Call Me". All SHINee members were spotted discussing and working on their new music in the studio in the recently released clip on YouTube.
Min Ho, in the early part of the video, revealed that he instantly fell in love with "Don't Call Me" after he first heard it. The K-pop idol revealed he told himself that it is the track we want and, later on, told his co-members that they should record it right away.
For his part, maknae Taemin said he wanted SHINee to stick to their own style. Though the South Korean singer is aware that the group is stable, he does want them to continue making progress.
He said "Don't Call Me" is somewhat different from the previous tracks they recorded, which mostly are upbeat, fresh, and bright. Taemin stated that, despite this, he thinks that their latest carrier single goes really well with all SHINee members.
Later on, in the video, Minho was heard saying that the song is too high for him. However, the record producer told him that his tone was just right, adding that his voice got a bit louder than before. Key was also seen trying his best to make his part sound better. After recording, the SHINee member divulged that it was the very first time he got exhausted.
At the moment, the behind-the-scenes video of SHINee for the recording of "Don't Call Me" already garnered more than 437,000 views. It also got more than 61,000 likes and 3,971 comments.
