VERIVERY Leads SERIES 'O' [ROUND 1: HALL] with 'Get Away'

K-Pop boy group VERIVERY returns with its latest album, "Series 'O' [Round 1: Hall]," unraveling the mysterious concept they have teased over the past months.

Touted as the group's comeback D-DAY, "Series 'O' [Round 1: Hall]" first dropped on March 2 at 6:00 p.m. KST across major music streaming platforms. Simultaneously, a music video for the album's title track, "Get Away," was released on YouTube and on the group's social networking sites (SNS).

In the three and a half music video, a sci-fi-looking droid observes the six members of the group - Dongheon, Hoyoung, Gyehyeon, Yeonho, Yongseung, and Kangmin - in a tent in the middle of the forests. It then demonstrates the group's visuals and synchronicity in a fluid sequence. Dressed in black ensembles for the better half of the MV, the members explore an equally ornate location, sipping and dining in interwoven scenes of their performance.

Furthermore, the symbols scattered around the "Get Away" music video are supported even by the MV caption. "The darkness inherent in us, discovering the 'O' in it. [ROUND 1: HALL]," the caption begins. It then proceeds to enumerate the "various symbolic meanings of 'O,' citing examples found across the video - from the robot with a single lens to the spiral staircase featured near the end.

"VERIVERY fills the year 2021 with an album on and discovering the dark inner space they each possess through the 'O' series and on how to use the darkness," the caption added.

Another notable part of the "Get Away" MV is the absence of Minchan. Jellyfish Entertainment, the talent management agency of VERIVERY, has released a statement last February 21 that the group will be temporarily moving forward with six members due to Minchan's health reasons."

This absence, however, does not go unnoticed. Near the end of the music video, the six members are seated and bound in a circle - with their "mature" versions holding each of them at gunpoint. In the round arrangement, a seventh chair remains empty.

About VERIVERY

Jellyfish Entertainment first teased in August 2018 that it will be debuting a new seven-piece boy group - their first in six years since VIXX debuted back in 2012. They later confirmed that the name of the group would be VERIVERY - taken from the Latin "veri" for truth, and the English "very."

Before officially debuting, the members first appeared in a reality show titled "Now Verivery: Real Road Movie," where they performed the OST for the show. The seven members officially debuted on January 9, 2019, with the release of their EP "Veri-Us," led by the single "Ring Ring Ring."
