Three BLACKPINK Videos Were The Top Three Most Viewed Music Videos for 2021

BLACKPINK occupied the first top three spots. Their 2018 release, "DDU-DU DDU-DU," was the most viewed K-pop girl group music video for Feb. 2021, garnering 30,138,824 views in that month alone. The music video was uploaded to BLACKPINK's official YouTube channel on Jun. 15, 2018, and garnered 35.2 million views within the first 24 hours.

On Feb. 23, 2021, the music video for "DDU-DU DDU-DU" officially surpassed 1.5 billion views, making the first K-pop group music video to achieve his feat. They are the second overall K-pop act to surpass this milestone after PSY with "Gangnam Style."

The second most-watched music video is BLACKPINK's 2019 release, "Kill This Love," which was viewed 29,962,980 times in Feb. 2021. The music video for "Kill This Love" was released in April 2019 and immediately garnered 56.7 million views within the first 24 hours.

Despite the popularity of the song, the music video for "Kill This Love" was banned by KBS due to a scene in which Rosé is seen driving without a seatbelt.

The third most-watched music video is BLACKPINK's Jun. 2020 release, "How You Like That." The music video received 29,855,159 views in Feb. 2021.

At the time of its release, it was the most-streamed music video premiere on YouTube and was the platform's most viewed video in the first 24 hours. BTS soon broke these records for "Dynamite."

On Mar. 13, 2020, the music video for "How You Like That" surpassed 800 million views.

aespa's "Forever" is the Fourth Most-Viewed Music Video for February 2021

Coming in after three BLACKPINK music videos is aespa for "Forever," which received 26,592,165 views in Feb. 2021. The music video for "Forever" was released on Feb. 5, 2021. The song itself is a remake of Yoo Young Jin's song of the same name and tells the story of a romance in winter. Music critics praised the song for its refined and pleasant sound.
