For its tenth year anniversary, the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCCPH) will be hosting a year-long celebration kicking off this March - including giveaway promos and Korean culture-oriented activities.
With a variety of traditional informative content, exciting contests, and huge prizes, KCCPH is definitely set to make its Filipino K-culture fans learn more, tap into their creativity, and have fun despite the ongoing challenges of life in the new normal.
K-Pop dance diva Dasuri Choi will once again bridge both cultures on the dance floor, leading the "K-Dance Power Up!" event. The virtual dance tutorial will feature the dancer performing and guiding audiences across some of the most-requested K-pop dance hits from the KCCPH SNS - EXO's "Obsession," TWICE's "I Can't Stop Me," and IU's latest single "Celebrity."
Aside from learning the K-Pop dance routines from the safety of their respective homes, with family and friends, participants in the event will have a chance to join the exclusive dance clinic facilitated by Dasuri Choi herself.
As for those who won't be chosen, they will still have a chance to win KCCPH goodies by joining the K-Dance Power Up! Quiz and answering the questions that pop up.
To further invite Filipinos to be a part of its efforts to bring Korean and Philippine cultures together, KCCPH will also launch its first-ever logo-making contest.
Titled "Kreation: KCCPH's 10th Anniversary Logo-Making Contest," the virtual event will offer Filipino artists a platform to show their creativity, love, and vision for Korean culture.
The theme of the event will be "10 years of KCC" for their artworks, and winners will be chosen by an esteemed panel of judges - representing Bonifacio Art Foundation Inc, UP Korea Research Center, and iAcademy.
Winners of the Kreation: KCCPH's 10th Anniversary Logo-Making Contest will be taking home a whopping 40,000 PHP in cash.
Furthermore, the winning logo will be used as the KCC official anniversary logo - appearing in all promotional and event materials related to the 10th year anniversary, including a commemorative video set for a July 2021 release.
Lastly, as a part of its Kolorful Adventure series and its ongoing efforts to bring Korean culture for the new generation to learn and appreciate, it will be offering a new series on its social media accounts.
For the entire month of March, KCC will be focusing on Korean Martial Arts and its role in shaping Korean history, as well as a basic tutorial, bits of interesting information, and doable moves for people wanting to know more about Taekwondo, Ssireum, and Taekkyon.
