The mini-album is led by its title track, "Unnatural," followed by "Last Dance," "Super Moon," "New Me," "YALLA," and "Don't Forget (My Universe)." A statement from Starship Entertainment additionally discloses that the title song expresses the uncomfortable feelings girls often have, leading to everyday actions turning awkward in front of the person they like. With a concept like this, fans can expect WJSN to deliver a new yet familiar side to their charming personas through the songs in "Unnatural."

Additionally, the song "Last Dance" illustrates the last moments of a dying love akin to a tragedy playing out - displaying something beautiful coming to an end. In "New Me," the girls encourage fans by taking the lead in displaying a new side to their personality. The other tracks, "Super Moon," "YALLA," and "Don't Forget (My Universe)," are also set to bring something new to the world of Cosmic Girls.

Members Exy and Seola have also participated in the songwriting and composition of the songs in the album, following the contributions to their previous release, "Neverland." Together, WJSN worked with Korean hitmakers MosPick, Chris Wahle, MAKECAKE36, KZ, and members of the Korean production team Full8loom.

WJSN is set to return with "Unnatural" on March 31st, 6 PM KST on various music streaming platforms. This marks the group's full return after "Neverland" was released last June 9, 2020. The Starship Entertainment - Yuehua Entertainment girl group, saw critical and commercial success with their eighth EP despite Chinese members Cheng Xiao, Meiqi, and Xuanyi experiencing scheduling conflicts with other engagements in the mainland.
