Following the release of her highly-anticipated comeback, Soyou treats fans to an exclusive backstage pass with the behind-the-scenes for the "Good Night My Love" music video.
The special behind-the-scenes video contains different images and sequences that further drives the aesthetics of the released "Good Night My Love" MV.
In the video, Soyou conveys her emotions through facial expressions. Together with her innocent visuals, invites the audience in a friendly and easy-going atmosphere.
Despite the MV being shot in cold weather, Soyou continues to deliver an astounding performance in the music video shoot.
In a previous interview, collaborators Lee Hyori and Babylon - who wrote the lyrics and composed the track, respectively - shared that they decided to give the song to Soyou as a gift.
In the behind-the-scenes video, Soyou recalls Lee Hyori supporting her and expressing excitement for Soyou to sing the song. "I was excited because she wanted me to sing a song that encouraged people in this tight world," Lee Hyori said.
Also featured in the new video are the actors who appeared alongside Soyou for "Good Night My Love," including Lee So-jin.
In the interview appearing in the behind-the-scenes video, So-jin expressed her gratitude for Soyou.
"I wish I had a chance to shoot a music video, but I am so grateful to be in Soyou's music video," Lee So-jin said.
On the other hand, actor Yeon Je Wook said: "I will continue to listen to Soyou's songs and cheer for you."
Another fun tidbit in the behind-the-scenes video shows Soyou reuniting with Cho Yong-hwan, who was her first acting teacher ten years ago. As Soyou introduced Mr. Cho, "My first acting teacher. Thank you for listening to me when I asked you to do this."
"I am more grateful," Cho Yong-hwan responded.
"Good Night My Love" marks Soyou's comeback after eight months, released last March 11. It has received positive reception from critics and audiences for its warm-feeling. With its mix of guitar and piano rhythms, the lyrics from Lee Hyori gives softness and a delicate sensibility, offering comfort for people in the springtime.
