ENHYPEN's First Comeback Confirmed to be in April

Call the attention of all ENGENEs! ENHYPEN's first comeback has been confirmed to be taking place in April.

On March 25, Ten Asia reported that the new K-pop group is preparing for a comeback. Following the news, a source from ENHYPEN's management agency BELIFT LAB released a statement through Korean news outlet Newsen.

ENHYPEN's Comeback Has Been Confirmed to Happen in April

According to Ten Asia's exclusive report on March 25, ENHYPEN is working on a new album and is aiming to return to the K-pop scene at the end of April. Not long after, a representative from BELIFT LAB revealed to Newsen that the rookie group is indeed gearing up for a comeback in late April. However, it was not confirmed whether ENHYPEN would be releasing a new album.

This will be ENHYPEN's first comeback since their debut in November 2020 with the album "Border: Day One" and the accompanying title track "Given-Taken."

About ENHYPEN and their 2020-2021 Achievements

ENHYPEN is a seven-piece boy band formed last year through a survival show titled "I-LAND." The final winners of the program are now the members of the group, and they are Heeseung, Jake, Sunghoon, Jungwon, Jay, Sunoo, and Ni-Ki.

They are currently under the management of BELIFT LAB, a record label jointly established by CJ ENM and HYBE (formerly Big Hit Entertainment).

Ahead of their official debut, ENHYPEN already had lots of fans cheering for them. Their social media accounts quickly reached more than a million followers as soon as they were opened.

Other than that, their first V LIVE gained a total of 1.07 million viewers and over 159.8 million hearts.

Following their debut in November, the new K-pop boy group attained more achievements.

On Dec. 7, Hanteo Chart announced that the group's debut album "Border: Day One" sold 280,873 copies within one week, starting from its release on Nov. 30 to Dec. 6. The first-day album sales were also outstanding, reaching 229,991 copies sold since the release of the physical album.

ENHYPEN's impressive record makes them No. 1 in the list of first-week sales for 2020 rookie groups.

Moreover, Hanteo revealed that the new boy group is the only artist among the 2020 rookies to sell more than 280,000 copies of an album in the first week of release.

Furthermore, the new K-pop group topped the rankings of album sales for male rookie artists that debuted in the second half of 2020. Hanteo stated that the debut album "Border: Day One" attained total sales of 312,723 copies. This placed the band at No. 24 on Hanteo's yearly album chart for 2020.

Besides album sales, ENHYPEN also received four trophies as a new artist, within two months after their debut. Their first rookie award was at the 2020 The Fact Music Awards where they took home the "Next Leader" award.

Then, in January this year the new K-pop boy group earned three recognitions in three various awards ceremony: "Best Rookie Artist" at the 35th Golden Disc Awards, and "Rookie of the Year" at both the 10th Gaon Chart Music Awards and 30th Seoul Music Awards.
