Dancer IU is back! The solo artist once again served her looks, vocals, and dancing skills as she dropped her fifth full-length album, "LILAC."

On March 25, The "Solo Queen" IU is officially back on the music scene with her fifth full-length album "LILAC" released at 6 p.m. KST through various music sites including Naver, MelOn, Genie, Bugs, and many more.

The music video for her title track "LILAC" is simultaneously released along with the album with the same name. Incredible, the female idol once again flaunted her idol-like dancing skills, drawing attention.

IU, a multi-talented K-pop solo singer makes a comeback with her full-length album "LILAC," which will wrap up her 20s.

Meanwhile, the album consists of two title songs including "Lilac" and "Coin." The first song will showcase how the singer harmonizes the pop sound of funky rhythms with her sweet and vibrant tone. While "Coin," is a track with sounds reminiscent of a game venue and funky grooves, which MV will be released on March 26.

The MV and album are truly special for IU and her fandom, UAENA, as it serves as a memory lane of IU's journey as a singer during her young adult years. As fans watch the MV, it will surely give them nostalgic feelings of how the singer grows and improves through the years.

As IU also kicked off with uplifting harmony, it is expected to capture not only K-pop enthusiasts but as well as the general public.

"LILAC" is the first full-length album of IU since 2017 after she released "Palette." It ignites excitement for fans as it consists of 10 songs including her double-title track, which will feature IU's dynamic sound through the lyrics of the songs she worked on.

In a recent interview, IU said she worked on an album with the goal of "an album that has no songs to endure because everything is fun from beginning to end," and wanted to say hello to her twenties through "Lilac."

Lastly, IU also confirmed that she will be active in promoting various variety programs and music shows such as "Famous Singer Exhibition," "You Quiz in the Block," "Music Core" and "Inkigayo" unlike her previous releases.

IU Donates 100 Million Won in Commemoration of the Release of "LILAC" with UAENA

To commemorate the release of their fifth full-length album, IU shared her grateful heart and blessings for the people in need as she donated another 100 million won.

IU's agency Edam Entertainment said on its official SNS on the same day "We are going to share the warmth of spring with UAENA (fan club), who waited silently for IU's fifth full-length album to be released in March 25."

IU donated 50 million won under the name of "IUANA" (an amalgamation of IU and UAENA) to Linker, a divisional corporation, and 50 million won to the snail of love. The move is aimed at providing emergency living expenses for single-parent families and helping hearing-impaired people, respectively.

IU was listed on the "30 Asian Donation Heroes of the Year" list by the U.S. magazine Forbes in December 2019. Last year alone, she made donations worth nearly 1 billion won.
