During the broadcast, Baekhyun said that his upcoming album would not have official promotions, which he said is something unavoidable.

"I really wanted to tell it to you. I had a lot of thoughts about whether I should tell it to you at the beginning of March or just tell you later," he said, which made fans confused and curious as to what he is referring to.

EXO Baekhyun then suddenly revealed that the end of March is the final date he can delay his military enlistment. And according to him, this is why he has no activities scheduled for April.

The "UN Village" singer continued, "I don't know if it's right to ask you guys to wait for me even if I didn't prepare anything. I said that I would repay you with happiness for all the love that I have received."

He added that he didn't want to cause any commotion with this news in advance, so he paid more attention to working on his new solo album.

He further shared that he took part in the process, from the planning to the music video shoot.

EXO Baekhyun went on to say, "People would probably be disappointed because I announced it so late, but I only had one intention. I didn't want you to feel like you have to prepare in advance. And it's not like we're going to be apart from each other forever. I wanted it to be like 'I'll be back.'"

The SuperM leader then confessed that he felt heavy inside as he announced his military enlistment. But he shared some good news at the end.

While he is carrying out his mandatory military service, EXO-L (EXO's fan club) still has something to look forward to. EXO Baekhyun stated that he filmed a lot of content ahead of time and those will be released on YouTube and other platforms.

"Even if I'm not here for a while, there are a lot of things waiting for you so that you won't feel my absence. So, let's not be sad now," he concluded.

Baekhyun will be joining member Chanyeol, who previously revealed that he will enlist in the military this month.

As of writing, SM Entertainment has not released an official statement regarding EXO Baekhyun's announcement.

Meanwhile, Baekhyun will have his solo comeback on March 30 with his new solo album "Bambi" set for release at 6:00 p.m. that day.
