BTS, GOT7, CL, and more are among the K-Pop stars and celebrities that have condemned anti-Asian violence.
The U.S. has been plagued with continuous violent attacks against the Asian American community, having started upon receiving knowledge that the COVID-19 first originated from Wuhan, China.
Since then, hate towards the Asian community, especially towards the Asian Americans living in the U.S., has been steadily increasing. The anti-Asian violence has only taken a turn for the worse in the recent months, with anti-Asian supporters going as far as committing murder.
The recent Atlanta spa shooting that took place on Mar. 16, which killed eight people - six of them being female Asians and four of whom are ethnic Koreans, had triggered K-Pop stars to speak up and condemn the acts of violence, joining the #StopAsianHate movement.

BTS, GOT7, CL, and More: Here are the K-Pop Stars That Condemned Anti-Asian Violence
Eric Nam, who is a Korean American born and raised in Atlanta, contributed to Time Magazine on Mar. 19 for an article titled, "If You're Surprised by the Anti-Asian Violence in Atlanta, You Haven't Been Listening. It's Time to Hear Our Voices."
In the article, Eric shares his and other Asians' experiences as a "perpetual foreigner" living in the U.S. He notes that for the past twelve months since the attacks started, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders were left feeling abandoned and overwhelmed.
He adds, "With memories of our past, the realities of our present and fears of our collective future in a country we love," and that AAPIs have been "excluded, interned, vilified, emasculated, fetishized and murdered."
Eric goes on to condemn the sheriff spokesperson who dismissed the Atlanta shooting, who claimed the suspect's motivation for the murders to be due to the suspect's addiction. He also shares is personal accounts on racism and criticized the anti-Asian discrimination in the U.S.
Super Junior's Siwon wrote on his Instagram that although he does not have all the answers, he hopes to use his platform to emphasize the need to address the issues on racism.
"I know this one post won't solve the problem, but I hope to help raise awareness on hate crimes against all," he said.
GOT7 members Jackson and Mark spoke up and shared their sentiments on the #StopAsianHate movement as well.
"Hatred and racism of any kind is not acceptable," said Jackson. He adds that if one can learn to hate, then they can learn to love.
"We are all human beings who deserve to live without fearing that the color of our skin challenges our safety in America," Mark shared in his tweet.
f(x)'s Amber shares how she is disgusted by the news on the Atlanta shooting, and that it hurt to call her mother from overseas to be careful in the U.S.
CL, the former leader and member of 2NE1, shared pictures on Twitter with information on how to donate and support the AAPI community.
Epik High's Tablo, GOT7's Bambam, P1Harmony, Blackswan's Fatou, and AleXa also shared the same pictures.
Jay Park shared a simple message regarding the movement. In addition, KARD's BM and Ladies Code's Ashley called for the attention to the situation through their Instagram stories.
BTS had recently shared their experiences with racial discrimination in a post on Twitter. They revealed that although their experiences were inconsequential compared to what Asian Americans are experiencing right now, they still felt powerless.
They end their post with a powerful message: "We stand against racial discrimination. We condemn violence. You, I and we all have the right to be respected. We will stand together."
