IU, BLACKPINK Rosé, BTS & More: Hanteo Chart Reveals Top 10 Bestselling Albums for the 4th Week of March

Hanteo Chart has revealed the Top 10 albums that sold the most in the fourth week of March. K-pop artists such as IU, BLACKPINK Rosé, BTS, and more made it to the chart. Keep on reading to know how much these Korean acts earned in the previous week.

Hanteo Chart is the only Korean music chart that totals the album and music sales in real-time, which are gathered from approved stores and websites. The chart's data are used for performance stage votes on music shows such as Show Champion, Inkigayo, Show! Music Core, and so on.

Now that a new month has begun, Hanteo unveiled the rankings for its Weekly Physical Album chart for the fourth week of March. The data are accumulated from March 22 to March 28.

In particular, the Top 10 best-selling albums were revealed through a video uploaded to "WhosfanTV" YouTube channel.

IU, BLACKPINK Rosé, and BTS are the Top 3 Best-Selling Albums on Hanteo Chart

IU, who made her much-awaited comeback on March 25, and returned to music shows after four years, impressively took the No. 1 spot on Hanteo's Weekly Physical Album Chart."

Her new album "LILAC" managed to sell a total of 241,479 copies, becoming the No. 1 best-selling album on Hanteo Chart for the fourth week of March.

What makes this achievement more remarkable is that IU's total sales within the fourth week of March were collected in just three days. From March 25 to March 28, IU's "LILAC" sold more than 240,000 copies.

Clinching the No. 2 position is BLACKPINK Rosé with her single album "R," which was dropped on March 12. Based on the chart, Rosé sold 93,646 album copies from March 22 to March 28.

Rosé's single album placed first in the third week of March with a total of 358,742 copies sold. This is the highest Initial Chodong sales amount on Hanteo Chart among the female artists in history.

It is unusual for two female artists to take the first and second spot on Hanteo Chart. Plus, Rosé has just debuted as a solo artist yet she's already soaring high on charts not only in South Korea but also overseas.

The third-best-selling album for the fourth week of March on Hanteo Chart is BTS's "BE," which was launched in November 2020. The boy group recently release the album's "Essential Edition," which is different from the previous record.

Based on Hanteo Chart, BTS's BE sold 52,538 copies within the fourth week of March.

WayV and Super Junior Take Fourth and Fifth Spots on Hanteo Chart's Weekly Physical Album Chart

The fourth and fifth positions on Hanteo Chart's Weekly Physical Album Chart are claimed by SM artists.

Super Junior, who returned to the K-pop scene with new music on March 16, scored the No. 4 position on the said chart. The boy band's "The Renaissance" sold a total of 48,783 copies last week.

At No. 5 is WayV, who also made their comeback in March, dropped a new extended play titled "Kick Back." This EP ranked fifth on the said chart with 38,382 total sales.
