Two new K-pop music videos have debuted on the latest "Global YouTube Music Video" chart - none other than IU's "LILAC" and EXO Baekhyun's "Bambi." The MVs for these tracks were both released in March, and were some of the most-viewed music videos in the previous week.

The Global YouTube Music Video chart ranks the top music videos that gained the most views in a specific week. Through this, users can know which music videos are the most popular ones around the world. In addition, people can browse top music videos in 57 individual countries.
IU's "LILAC" and EXO Baekhyun's "Bambi" Enter the Latest Global YouTube Music Video Chart
YouTube has recently revealed the rankings of the Global YouTube Music Video chart for the week ending on April 1. Numerous releases debuted on the latest chart, and among them are songs by two K-pop solo artists: IU's "LILAC" and EXO Baekhyun's "Bambi."
In particular, EXO Baekhyun's "Bambi" MV landed at No. 91. The music video had 6.66 million views in the past week. It is the only MV of a male K-pop soloist on the chart.
The MV is also one of the current trending music videos on YouTube. As of writing, the video is placed at No. 23 on the list of "YouTube Music Videos Trending Worldwide." The "Bambi" MV is currently trending at No. 5 in Malaysia, No. 8 in the Philippines, and No. 28 in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, IU's "LILAC" MV made it to the top 40 of the Global YouTube Music Video Chart. It debuted at No. 33 after gaining 14 million views in the previous week.
"LILAC" is the highest-ranking MV of a female K-pop solo artist on the latest chart. The other K-pop music video of a female artist is "On The Ground" by BLACKPINK Rosé.
The "On the Ground" MV is at No. 40 with 11.4 million views. It was at No.8 last week, has now spent three weeks on the chart.
IU and EXO Baekhyun Release New Album in March
The month of March was full of comebacks and debuts of both K-pop groups and solo artists. Among those are IU and EXO Baekhyun, who returned with new albums.
On March 25, IU's comeback was made with the release of her new full album titled "LILAC," together with a music video for one of the double title tracks, also named "LILAC."
"LILAC" means "memories of youth" and "first love." In accordance with the meaning, IU's "LILAC" album expresses her gratitude to those who have looked after her throughout her twenties. The album is composed of 10 tracks including the pre-released song "Celebrity" and two title tracks "LILAC" and "Coin."

IU's new song "LILAC" depicts the story of two people who have been lovers for 10 years and end their relationship as spring draws near. As of April 5, the "LILAC" music video has surpassed 20 million views.
Five days after IU's comeback is EXO Baekhyun's return with his third mini-album titled "Bambi." The album comprises six R&B songs that all take on the topic of love. The title track of the same name tells a story of a mature yet fairytale-like love.
A music video for "Bambi" was also dropped on March 30, and as of April 5, the MV has exceeded 22 million views.
