Wendy, the main vocalist of Red Velvet, sympathized with teenagers' feelings about their studies, appearance, and outlook in life in the new video of the Youtube channel, "ODG."

On April 6, the YouTube channel "ODG" (You were a kid once) posted a new video with the title, "K-pop Singer Tries to Understand Teenager," featuring Red Velvet Wendy, who recently dropped her first solo album.

In the video, the female idol showed her sympathy to two female teenagers who were undergoing changes in their thoughts and behaviors as they approach the age of being adolescents.

In the broadcast, Wendy broke the silence as she greeted the two female teenagers with her warm "hello." Despite the huge wall separating the female idol and the teenagers, Wendy let them adjust to her by starting with casual conversation, such as praising their voices.

As the atmosphere became comfortable, Wendy opened up first the stormy feelings that she had while growing up away from her parents.

Seowon, an eighth-grader, then confessed to her that she's going with her adolescence period already, feeling frustrated over trivial things and questioning human existence. Meanwhile, Nahyeon, a fifteen-year-old student, realized on "seeing dishes" the essence of hard work.

Wendy continued by asking them their concerns nowadays, and they revealed their thoughts about their appearance and studies. Nahyeon also shared her parents' opposition to her love for sports to focus on her studies, though she doesn't want to.

In response, Wendy, who was raised and studied in Canada, admitted that she's not familiar with the Korean education system; however, she vented out her frustrations as to why students have to be stressed with their studies, saying,

"Oh Why, why does it hurt for me? Not only that, this frustrates me from the inside as well. It's upsetting me. Why is it so? Why do young middle schoolers have to feel so much stress about their studies? Why? What for? For who? It really frustrates me..."

As the broadcast went on, Wendy also tried to suppress her tears as Nahyeon and Seowon shared how they usually bottled up their emotions to themselves.

The female idol narrated how she grew up similar to them, but as she grows older, Wendy realized that she has to think for her first as well. At the end of the broadcast, she then advised them and said, "If you have thoughts and worries that troubles you, when you feel lost, talk to somebody, and let go of your worries a little," afterward consoled them with her new song, "When This Rain Stops."
