f(x)'s Victoria has terminated her contract with SM Entertainment to focus on activities in China.

f(x)'s Victoria Terminates Contract with SM Entertainment

The f(x) leader is no longer part of SM Entertainment.

On April 9, in an interview with Hankyung, it was revealed that Victoria Song has terminated her contract with SM Entertainment.

In addition, SM Entertainment has already removed the f(x) member from the company's artists page and Victoria had deleted the company from her links description and introductions.

It was confirmed that Victoria Studio, which helps and manages Victoria's personal and public activities in China, will be continuing to work with the Chinese idol-actress.

An official of SM Entertainment told Newsen, "It is true that the contract with Victoria has ended."

Victoria is the last member of f(x) to leave the company.

On Sept. 1, 2018, fellow member Amber announced on her personal social media accounts that she had decided not to renew contracts with SM Entertainment. Following her on Sept. 5, Luna also left the company.

In October 2020, Krystal announced that she had officially left SM Entertainment to sign an exlcusive contract with H& Entertainment and has since then been focusing on her acting career.

In 2008, Victoria appeared in the music video of SHINee's debut song "Replay," and garnered public attention. She then went on to debut as a member of f(x) in 2009 with Amber, Luna, Krystal and Sulli, and led the group as their team leader.

Victoria, who is known to be from Qingdao, China, learned to dance in China before being selected to become a trainee under SM Entertainment.

Before her official debut in 2009, she appeared in various music videos of artists under SM Entertainment which led her to gain immense popularity among fans and was even selected as an advertising model in China.

Victoria starred in the 2012 Chinese-Taiwanese drama "When Love Walked In," with former labelmate Zhou Mi, which officially started her career in China. Since then, she's been active in mainland China as an actress and singer.

Although she has been active in both Korea and China, she wasn't as active as she is now until she starred in the South Korean-Chinese co-production of "My New Sassy Girl" in 2016, where she began to earnestly focus on her Chinese activities.
