Super Junior Yesung is reportedly preparing for a solo comeback!

On April 15, Korean media outlet SPOTV News reported that Yesung will return as a solo artist with a new mini-album. He would be the second Super Junior member to make a solo comeback this year, following Kyuhyun.

Super Junior Yesung Reportedly Gearing up for a Solo Comeback in May

According to SPOTV News' exclusive report on April 15, Yesung is currently doing preparations for his solo comeback in May. The media outlet added that the male idol has already finished filming the music video for his new song, and is already at the final stage of the album preparation.

Yesung's upcoming release will be his fourth mini-album, as well as his first solo album in about two years since his third extended play titled "Pink Magic," which was issued back in June 2019.

Super Junior made a comeback with their tenth full album "The Renaissance" this past March. After completing the group promotions for the album, Yesung will be the next member to take on a solo project, following Kyuhyun who launched a new single titled "Coffee" on April 13.

The Korean media outlet also stated that Super Junior Yesung is working hard on the album preparation as it will be his first solo release after a long time since he has been participating in group and unit activities.

Yesung is predicted to have an outstanding global performance with his new solo album since his previous release, "Pink Magic," did well on music charts. "Pink Magic" ranked No. 1 on iTunes charts in 25 regions around the world including Mexico, Singapore, Poland, Chile, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand, and more.

Yesung, who made his solo debut back in 2016, has shown off his musical capabilities as a vocalist with several solo tracks and original soundtracks.

SM Entertainment is yet to confirm Super Junior Yesung's solo comeback in May. In the meantime, watch the music video for his latest solo track, "Pink Magic."

Previous Solo Releases and OSTs of Super Junior's Yesung

Yesung started launching solo tracks since his April 2016 when he dropped his first extended play titled "Here I Am," which contains seven songs including the lead single of the same name.

His second solo release is another EP titled "Spring Falling" in April 2017. It includes the title track "Paper Umbrella" together with five more songs.

In December 2018, Super Junior Yesung released the single "Whatcha Doin'?" with Kim Chungha.

Yesung's last solo works were in 2019. In January 2019, he issued another track, "Carpet," with Bumkey.

Then in February, he dropped his first Japanese album, "Story." It features the lead single "If You" alongside 10 more tracks.

His last solo work is "Pink Magic," which was launched in June 2019.

When it comes to soundtrack appearances, Super Junior Yesung began recording OSTs in 2007. His first one is "Are You Ready" for "Attack on the Pin-Up Boys."

His latest OST is "Draw You in My Heart" (2019) for "Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency."
