Girls' Generation's Taeyeon Moved a Backup Dancer to Tears — Here's How
One of Taeyeon's past backup dancers recently shared what it was like to work with the idol online. She revealed that it was such a memorable concert for her and is a memory that she can never forget.
The backup dancer then revealed that in concerts, dancers are usually not given in-ear monitors. Dancers need to rely on the sound coming out of the speakers.
"But Taeyeon's concerts are different," they stated. "She gave in-ear monitors to all the dancers. That was my first time using an in-ear monitor at a concert."

The dancer then confessed that she was going through a lot in her personal life at the time. She was going through a rough time and had nobody to lean on. She then recalled hearing Taeyeon sing through her in-ear monitors, and soon, tears were rolling down her cheeks.
The backup dancer described Taeyeon's voice as "vivid," and she could not stop herself from feeling emotions.
The backup dancer then confessed that at the time, she cried her eyes out. She does not know why she cried so much, but Taeyeon's voice gave her a sense of comfort and soothed her wounded heart.

Taeyeon's Recent Activities
On Jan. 1, 2021, Taeyeon participated in the SMTOWN "Live Culture Humanity" online community. This marked the first time Taeyeon performed "What Do I Call You" live, having released the song and mini-album of the same name back on Dec. 15, 2020.

Taeyeon is currently a cast member of the tvN show "DoReMi Market," also known as "Amazing Saturday." The show features a market from South Korea and three types of food selected by representatives. Cast members and guests need to play games in order to win and enjoy the food.
On Nov. 18, 2020, Taeyeon released her second Japanese mini-album, "#GirlsSpkOut." On May 4, 2020, she released "Happy." Originally intended to be released on Mar. 9, 2020, to celebrate her birthday, the release was postponed since her father passed away the same day. It was postponed once more due to her grandmother's passing more than a month later.
