All nine members of TWICE will be returning to the music scene with a new album in June!
On April 19, a Korean media outlet reported that the K-pop girl group is preparing for a full group comeback in June. JYP Entertainment has since responded to the news.
TWICE Set for a June Comeback
According to Star News on April 19, TWICE is preparing for a comeback in June with a new album. The media outlet added that the nine members are already in the final stages of preparations and the music video for their title track will be filmed on Jeju Island. The specific comeback date, however, has not been decided yet.

Following the news, an official from JYP Entertainment told NewsN that TWICE is indeed scheduled to return in June and that they are currently recording the music video on Jeju Island. The representative added that they will announce the specific date for TWICE's comeback at a later date once it has been settled.

This will be TWICE's first comeback in Korea this year and their first one after almost eight months since the release of their second full-length album titled "Eyes Wide Open" in October last year. This album was followed up by a digital single titled "CRY FOR ME."
Additionally, TWICE's upcoming album will be their second release this year following their new Japanese single, "Kura Kura," which will be out on May 12.
Following the news about TWICE's comeback in June, ONCE (TWICE's fan club) couldn't contain their excitement and so they took to Twitter to trend keywords related to TWICE's upcoming return. Hashtags such as "TWICE JUNE COMEBACK," "TWICEISCOMING," "JUNE IS FOR TWICE," and "TWICE OT9 COMEBACK" are currently trending on the platform worldwide.
As of press time, "TWICE JUNE COMEBACK" has more than 60,000 tweets, while the two next hashtags have surpassed 50,000 tweets. Meanwhile, "TWICE OT9 COMEBACK" has over 30,000 tweets.

Back in October 2020, TWICE's Jeongyeon took a break from group activities to focus on recovering from her anxiety. After three months, she made a surprise appearance at the 2021 Seoul Music Awards.

TWICE's 2020 Comebacks
Last year, the JYP Entertainment girl group made two domestic comebacks. The first one was on June 1 with their ninth extended play, "More & More." The EP contains the lead single of the same name that was written by J.Y. Park and BIBI. It was revealed that more than 530,000 copies of TWICE's "More & More" were sold on Gaon Music Chart.

"More & More" was TWICE's initial bestselling album until they made another comeback in October with their second studio album, "Eyes Wide Open," which sold over 550,000 copies. This album features the title track "I CAN'T STOP ME," together with other 12 tracks. The music video for the song has become TWICE's fastest MV to reach 200 million views, only taking 76 days to achieve the mark.
In December, TWICE performed an unreleased song titled "CRY FOR ME," which was later officially released on various music sites as a gift for ONCE.
