SEVENTEEN Reveals 'Hitori Janai' Music Video Prior to Single Album Release + Song Tops iTunes Charts

SEVENTEEN's "Hitori Janai" music video is officially out!

On April 18, SEVENTEEN has revealed the music video for their new Japanese song "Hitori Janai," which is three days ahead of the official release of the group's third Japanese single album of the same name. The "Hitori Janai" album will be launched on April 21.

When translated to English, "Hitori Janai" means "Not Alone." SEVENTEEN Woozi took part in composing and writing the lyrics for the Japanese single.

"Hitori Janai" contains the pledges of the youth who are about to step into a new world toward their dreams. The song also conveys a message of hope for everyone who is going through difficulties at the moment, especially due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

In the released music video for "Hitori Janai," the scenes depict some situations that occur during this pandemic. There's this scene of staying in bed all day, watching television shows, camping and playing indoors, panic buying at supermarkets, and wearing a facemask.

There's also a part in which the members communicate and celebrate a birthday via Zoom, as well as the clothes being stuck in the wardrobe and seeing their friends in person after a long time.

The "Hitori Janai" MV is sitting at No. 4 on the Music Videos Trending Worldwide chart as of April 19. It is also trending at No. 2 in Japan, No. 23 in Argentina, and No. 12 in South Korea.

SEVENTEEN's "Hitori Janai" Hits No. 1 on iTunes Charts around the World

In other news, SEVENTEEN's new Japanese single "Hitori Janai" (Not Alone) has ranked first on iTunes charts across the globe following its release on April 15.

On April 16, the track soared to No. 1 of iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 10 countries such as Finland, United Arab Emirates, Poland, the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, and more. It even peaked at No. 11 on the worldwide iTunes Songs chart. On April 19, "Hitori Janai" dropped to No. 44 on the worldwide iTunes chart.

Moreover, "Hitori Janai" is currently at No. 3 on Japan's Top 100 K-pop Singles chart, and at No. 33 on Japan's iTunes Tops Songs chart.

Apart from that, "Hitori Janai" also took the top spot on Japanese real-time music charts like Line Music and AWA. The Japanese versions of the group's Korean songs "Run To You" and "HOME;RUN," which are also included in SEVENTEEN's upcoming Japanese single album, claimed the Nos. 2 and 3 on Line Music Top 100, respectively.

SEVENTEEN's "Hitori Janai" even scored the No. 1 position on both Rakuten Music's mu-mo's singles chart and real-time chart.

As of April 19 at 2 p.m. KST, "Hitori Janai" maintains its position at No. 1 on the Line Music Top 100 chart for a total of 90 hours or almost four days.
