IU's "LILAC" is the Most Streamed Song by a Female K-Pop Artist on Spotify Korea for the 3rd Week of April

IU's Mar. 2021 release "LILAC" is the most streamed song by a female K-pop idol on Spotify Korea for the third week of Apr. 2021. Overall, it ranked at number two on the Weekly Chart. From Apr. 16 to Apr. 22, "LILAC" was streamed 88,524 times, which is 8.471 times less than last week. "LILAC" also ranked at number two the week prior.

IU described "LILAC" as a bittersweet song that is reminiscent of a spring typhoon. Since the album is meant to be IU's last album of her twenties, she chose "LILAC" since, in the language of flower, the plant represents "memories of youth." IU told W Korea that she wanted "LILAC" to be a farewell to her 20s and greeting the next chapter of her life — her 30s.

"LILAC" debuted at number four on the Gaon Digital Chart and peaked at the top the following week, making "LILAC" IU's twenty-sixth number one hit in South Korea.

Brave Girls' "Rollin'" is the Most Streamed Song by a K-Pop Girl Group on Spotify Korea for the 3rd Week of April

Brave Girls' reverse run hit, "Rollin'," was the most streamed song by a K-pop girl group on the platform for the third week of Apr. 2021. Overall, it ranked at number four on the charts, dropping down one spot from last week. During this time period, "Rollin'" was streamed 68,606 times, which is 1,956 times less than last week.

"Rollin'" was initially released in 2017 and initially failed to enter the Gaon Digital Chart. Four years after the song's release, "Rollin'" achieved virality after a compilation video of the girls performing the song edited with YouTube comments became popular on YouTube. The song soon topped the charts and achieved a perfect all-kill, topping all real-time charts in South Korea.

Brave Girls is currently the girl group with the most perfect all-kills, breaking TWICE's record.
