SEVENTEEN's new Japanese single "Hitori Janai" had an incredible jump to No. 1 on Billboard Japan Hot 100, and the album has also risen to the top spot of the Oricon Chart!
SEVENTEEN's "Hitori Janai" Soars to No. 1 on Billboard Japan Hot 100
On April 21, SEVENTEEN released their third Japanese single titled "Hitori Janai," which translates to "Not Alone." The album successfully landed on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 following its release, and it continuously climbed up the charts.

On April 28, Billboard revealed the rankings of Japan Hot 100 for the week of April 19 to 25. "Hitori Janai," which debuted at No. 44 on the chart in the previous week, impressively jumped 43 spots and officially scored the No. 1 spot.
With this, Pledis Entertainment's 13-member boy group becomes the first Korean act this year to rank No. 1 on Billboard Japan Hot 100.
SEVENTEEN's third Japanese single also took first place on the weekly Japan Top Singles Sales chart with an overwhelming sales amount of 372,913 copies. "Not Alone" even ranked 29th on the streaming category and 45th on downloads.
Additionally, the boy group secured the No. 2 position on the Billboard Artist 100, spending its seventh week on the chart.
SEVENTEEN's "Hitori Janai" Dominates This Week's Oricon Chart
In addition to the Billboard charts, Pledis Entertainment's 13-member boy band ranked first in the weekly Oricon Chart with "Hitori Janai." In particular, the Japanese single rose to No. 1 on Oricon's weekly top singles chart dated May 3. The album recorded a total of 314,765 sales in the first week.

This is the second time SEVENTEEN has topped the Oricon weekly chart with a Japanese single, following their second Japanese single "Fallin' Flower" in April last year." It is also their second time to hit the first spot with more than 300,000 album sales.
What's more, "Not Alone" placed No. 1 on the daily singles chart of Oricon for six days in a row. The album even topped the real-time, weekly, and monthly charts on Rakuten Music, a major music site in Japan.
Because of these achievements within one week, CARAT (SEVENTEEN's fan club) took to Twitter to celebrate. Keywords such as "#CONGRATS_SVT," "#Hitorijanai_PeaksNo1," and "SEVENTEEN RECORD BREAKER" trended on the platform with more than 20,000 tweets each.
SEVENTEEN's "Hitori Janai" Achieves Fifth Highest First-Week Sales on Oricon Chart
Among the first-week album sales on the Oricon Chart of K-pop artists, SEVENTEEN's "Hitori Janai" attained the fifth-highest record. With a total sales amount of 314,765, the single album follows the group's "Fallin' Flower" at No. 4 with 334, 417 copies.

Moreover, "Not Alone" is the third entry of SEVENTEEN in the top 10 list of first-week album sales of Korean artists. The band's other album on the list is "Happy Ending" at No. 9 with 254,877 copies.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN will appear on NHK's "Shibuya no Auto," which will be aired on May 1. The boy group is set to perform their hottest new song "Hitori Janai" on the show.
