BLACKPINK has made new milestones on Spotify recently. On Thursday, April 29, it was revealed that the YG Entertainment-formed all-female group's latest EP is, currently, one of the most streamed female albums released in 2020 on the said music streaming platform.

BLACKPINK Achieves New Feats on Spotify
"The Album" by BLACKPINK is not the eighth most streamed female album released in 2020 on Spotify. The EP, which is also served as the first Korean-language studio album of the group, has beaten the "Brightest Blue" album of Ellie Goulding.
Not only that because "The Album" by BLACKPINK also garnered more than 1.4 billion streams on Spotify already. This milestone just made the said album as the first by a South Korean female act and the fastest one for an all-girl group to ever achieve such a record.
BLACKPINK was also named the girl group with the greatest number of tracks to ever reach 300 million streams on Spotify. As of this writing, "How You Like That" got 421,530,614 streams already while "Kill this Love" garnered 448,355,140 streams, "DDU-DU DDU-DU" amassed a total of 377,580,835, "Ice Cream" got 301,179,387 streams, and "Kiss and Make Up" got a total of 423,414,529 streams already.
On Sunday, it was also reported that BLACKPINK has surpassed 21.1 million followers on Spotify and generated a total of 14,919,113 monthly listeners. Most music buff who streamed BLACKPINK tracks are from Indonesia, Mexico, Singapore, Brazil and Malaysia.

BLACKPINK Continues Streak on Gaon
Aside from Spotify, BLACKPINK has also been making waves on Gaon. As a matter of fact, most of the group's album were able to secure spots on the latest Gaon Album Chart. "-R-" by Rosé nabbed the No. 32 spot while "Kill This Love" was listed at No. 72 followed by "Square Up" in No. 73, "The Album" in No. 76 and "Solo" by Jennie in No. 87.
BLACKPINK songs that were part of the most recent Gaon Streaming Chart are "On the Ground" by Rosé at No. 7, "Lovesick Girls" at No. 22, "Gone" at No. 43 and "How You Like That" at No. 50. BLACKPINK has also dominated the Gaon Social Chart. The group is, currently, at No. 2 after spending more than 40 weeks on the No. 1 spot. Rosé was listed on No. 11 while Jennie got the No. 26 spot.
Rosé was also pronounced as the best-selling female artist in the first quarter of 2021 after it was able to sell more than 446,314 copies. BLACKPINK, on the other hand, was able to secure the No. 4 spot after it sold more than 154,322 album copies this year so far.

BLACKPINK Makes New Records on YouTube
If that is not enough, BLACKPINK has also been breaking records after records on YouTube. Just last week, the group broke the tie with BTS and became the K-pop act with the most music videos to surpass 1 billion views on the video-sharing website.
The official music video of "As of It's Your Last" is the fourth clip from BLACKPINK to surpass 1 billion views on YouTube. Prior to this, "Boombayah," "Kill this Love" and "DDU-DU DDU-DU" also cross the 1 billion views mark.
With this, BLACKPINK is now the only K-pop act with a total of four music videos that entered the 1 billion views club. BTS, presently, has three videos with over 1 billion views while PSY has two.
