Rainbow Note Reignites Retro Disco with 'Dilemma'

Hit city pop duo Rainbow Note returns with a new single, bringing retro disco back to life with "Dilemma," released last week.

First released at exactly noon, April 27 KST, "Dilemma" features a new and refreshing addition to Rainbow Note and their music by driving further into the louder and more upbeat domain of retro disco music. Their exciting new single still contains the unique sound that the duo has perfected and made entirely their own, in a mix of strong synth and rhythm melodies.

Reminiscent of retro disco music of the 70s and 80s - making an unexpected comeback on streaming platforms like YouTube and Spotify - "Dilemma" is a surprisingly sweet track. With lyrics such as "In your sweet dilemma, no one knows/ I'm not afraid at all. I believe in this choice," the message is wrapped in a catchy, lively tune both adults and younger listeners could have fun with.

It was preceded by a 37-second teaser, a few hours before a "Dilemma" live performance of the track was released featuring both Seulhee on vocals and Sara on keyboards. With an Instagram live aesthetic for their live performance, the duo presented their new track in one, flawless take. Later in the day, a lyric video in Hangul was also released - all media available on the Stone Music Entertainment YouTube channel.

Last year, Rainbow Note continued expanding its range with new music as it released the singles "Morning" and "Button," as well as their eponymous first studio album. Additionally, the duo has also recently led the Jang Deok Tribute Project, in which modern artists paid respect to the late singer-songwriter by creating cover versions of her tracks. They released the first song in the project with a cover of the late singer's "After You've Gone," as well as releasing the third volume with "Yeah, Yeah."
