Former Brave Girls Member Hayun Reveals Why She Left the Group

Brave Girls' former member Hayun has shared the reason why she decided to leave the group.

Hayun was added to the girl group in 2016, along with the four current members. She participated in the team's comeback with "Rollin'" in 2017. In August 2018, the song was re-released, but Hayun was unable to take part in promotions. Later that month, she decided to leave the band.

Brave Girls' Former Member Hayun Shares the Reason Why She Left the Group

On May 4, Hayun made a post on her Instagram account specifying the reason that led her to withdraw from the girl group. It turns out that she has health problems.

In the post, the former Brave Girls member said that she has hyperthyroidism, a type of hormone disorder. The "Rollin'" singer then said that her hyperthyroidism got worse during the promotions. Because of this, she talked about it with Brave Entertainment, and there they agreed that it would be difficult for her to continue promoting. And so that's why she had to depart from the group.

Hayun added that she is still dealing with hyperthyroidism, but she has been focusing on treatment and is currently feeling much better. "I'm sorry for telling fans so late," she continued. Brave Girls' former member went on to say that she felt lots of admiration while watching the girl group achieve fame since she also experiences promoting "Rollin'." She also expressed her happiness towards it.

Hayun further stated, "Even though I cannot be with them because of my health, I will earnestly support Brave Girls' future promotions." She also shared that she will embark on solo promotions in the future and work hard to show various sides of her.

What Happened to Hayun After Leaving Brave Girls?

After departing from Brave Girls and Brave Entertainment in 2018, Hayun has been active in social media. In 2019, she opened her TikTok account under the name "Dalha" (@dalha) and gained a large number of followers with her viral videos, some featuring dancing, and make-up.

She is known for her POV and lip-sync clips on TikTok. As of March 10, she has more than five million followers on the platform. In October 2019, she launched a YouTube channel also named "Dalha," where she uploads make-up-related videos.

Last year, the former Brave Girls member opened a channel on Twitch under the name "Running Hayun" and has since been broadcasting content. In November 2020, Hayun signed an exclusive contract with a digital entertainment company named Sandbox Network.

Brave Girls to Release a New Single "Red Sun" + to Make a Summer Comeback

Meanwhile, Brave Girls is set to launch a new song today, May 5. Titled "Red Sun," the song is a collaboration between the girl group and Lotte as part of the "Song For You Project Vol. 2." It will be played at Lotte Department Store locations nationwide.

Moreover, the quarter is currently gearing up for their summer comeback with a song that Brave Brothers will produce. More details about their return are yet to be announced.
