From January to April, several new K-pop groups made their debut, including MIRAE, PURPLE KISS, Ciipher, and more. Among the 2021 rookie groups, below are the top 6 artists with the highest first-week album sales. Keep on reading to know who earned the most.

MIRAE Achieves Highest First-Week Album Sales for a 2021 Rookie Group So Far

MIRAE's "KILLA" gained the highest album sales in the first week among the debut albums that were released from January to April.

MIRAE is a new K-pop boy group consisting of seven members namely Lien, Dongpyo, Douyun, Junhyuk, Siyoung, Khael, and Yubin. The septet debuted on March 17 under DSP Media, becoming the first idol group of the company after nearly four years since KARD in 2017.

Based on their sales data on Hanteo Chart, the boy band sold a total of 26,626 copies of "KILLA" in the first seven days. Their highest sales within the week of March 17 to 23 is 16,029, which was accumulated on the first day.

MIRAE is the only 2021 rookie group, so far, to reach 20,000 total sales. Because of this, the new K-pop group earned the moniker "2021 Super Rookies."

PURPLE KISS Attains Second-Highest First-Week Album Sales for a 2021 Rookie Group So Far

After MIRAE's "KILLA" is PURPLE KISS's "INTO VIOLET." Released on March 15, the "INTO VIOLET" has sold a total of 12,405 copies in the first week. Its first-day sales record, which involves 7,156 copies, is the highest first-day sales for a female rookie group that debuted within 2020-21. Eventually, it is the bestselling album by a 2021 rookie girl group so far.

In addition, PURPLE KISS's debut album is the second one to surpass 10,000 copies following MIRAE's "KILLA." Not to mention, "KILLA" and "INTO VIOLET" are the only debut albums, to date, to obtain a five-digit number in sales on Hanteo Chart.

PURPLE KISS is a new K-pop girl group under RBW, the first one after six years since MAMAMOO in 2014. The band is made up of seven members namely Chaein, Jieun, Dosie, Ireh, Swan, Goeun, and Yuki.

Ciipher Scores Third-Highest First-Week Album Sales for a 2021 Rookie Group to Date

The new K-pop group with the third-highest album sales in the first week is Rain Company's Ciipher. Their debut album titled "An Ggulyeo" or "I Like You" sold 3,683 copies from March 15 to 21, according to Hanteo Chart.

Ciipher is the first K-pop boy group to debut under Rain Company, an agency singer-songwriter Rain established in 2015. The 2021 rookie group comprises seven members, as well, namely Hwi, Keita, Tan, Dohwan, Tag, Hyunbin, and Won. The septet debuted on the same days as PURPLE KISS (March 15).
