AB6IX Achieves New Personal Highest Album Sales Record in the First Week

On April 26, AB6IX made a comeback with their fourth extended play titled "Mo' Complete: Have a Dream." This album not only showcased the group's growth but also set a new highest first-week sales record for Woong, Donghyun, Woojin, and Daehwi!

AB6IX Records New Personal Highest First-Week Album Sales

On May 12, Hanteo Chart announced via Twitter that AB6IX has attained their highest record of first-week album sales since their debut in May 2019.

Hanteo Chart kept track of the copies of "Mo' Complete: Have a Dream" sold from April 26 to May 2, for a total of six days.

According to the first-week sales amount data of AB6IX's comeback album, the quartet sold 7,663 copies on the first day. The second-day sales amount was their highest one within that week, having been able to sell a total of 22,735 on April 27.

This is about 6,000 copies more than their second-day sales with their previous release, "Salute: A New Hope."

AB6IX's then sold 9,749 copies on April 28, 12,096 copies on April 29, 10,675 copies on April 30, 100 copies on May 1, and 927 copies on May 2.

From the comparison chart of "Mo' Complete: Have a Dream" and "Salute: A New Hope" regarding the copies sold the first week, it can be seen that the group's comeback album has more sales on each day of the first week, except for the first day.

"Salute: A New Hope" recorded more than 15,000 on the first day, which is 8,000 copies more than their latest release.

Meanwhile, AB6IX's overall sales amount in the first week with "Mo' Complete: Have a Dream" is 65,755, their highest record since debut. This is almost 14,000 higher than the first-week album sales of their repackaged album "Salute: A New Hope," which sold 51,796 copies.

Meanwhile, "Mo' Complete: Have a Dream" is connected to AB6IX's debut album "B: Complete." The latter established the quartet's musical identity in the industry, then the comeback album depicts the group's new dream beyond perfection.

AB6IX's new album features the title track "CLOSE," which Coach& Sendo wrote and composed, with member Park Woo Jin writing the rap lyrics. The track is a deep house pop dance song that tells listeners to trust themselves wholly and they will surely not lose their way toward their dream.

On YouTube, the music video for AB6IX's "CLOSE" has already surpassed 23 million views, while the song has exceeded one million streams on Spotify.

For the 19th week of 2021, "CLOSE" entered numerous Gaon Charts. The track ranked second on the Download Chart and claimed the No. 48 spot on the BGM Chart. On the Digital Chart, the song secured the No. 57 position with total points of 7,353,157.

AB6IX's "CLOSE" has also been ranking on various domestic music charts, such as MelOn Latest 24Hits, Genie, Bugs, and Soribada.
