The scholarship programs support AAPI pursuing Musical Arts Education through funds, resources, and networking opportunities.

The event is also supported by its generous donors, including the East West Bank Corporation, Comcast NBCUniversal, International Secret Agents, and We Can Do This - a campaign from the US Department of Health and Human Services to inform communities about ongoing COVID-19 vaccination efforts.

"For the API community, this past year has been one of grief and resilience in the face of so much adversity," shares Amazon Music's APAHM lead Frankie Yaptinchay. "It's essential that representation isn't only during Asian Pacific American Heritage Month but year around, and it's critical for members in our community to work towards change to inspire and create solutions for the next generation."

Yaptinchay adds: "Identity 2021 will not only address the current climate of our community but also celebrate our diverse backgrounds and contributions worldwide."

"With IDENTITY 2021, we hope our community can take a deep breath to celebrate each other and the beauty of our collective heritage in May. This year, the spotlight will be on talent and stories from AAPI icons in entertainment, business, politics, and more," adds Kevin Nishimura, co-chairman of Pacific Bridge Arts Foundation, co-founder of Gold House, and the co-CEO of Transparent Arts. "We are also leveraging this great moment to do something good: by reshaping public opinion through investments in the future of our representation community via funds for Pacific Bridge Arts AAPI Youth Scholarship programs and, with Gold House, to scale support for the powerful #StopAsianHate and #SpreadAsianJoy movement."
