aespa Reveals Just How Painful Their Costumes for the 'Next Level' Music Video Were

On Friday, May 21, aespa appeared as guests on the MBC Radio show "Jun Hyosung Dreaming Radio." During their appearance on the program, the girls reacted to their music video while answering questions from the host, Jun Hyosung.

As soon as the music video started, Jun Hyosung immediately asked the girls if their outfits hurt. The girls immediately started talking about how much it hurt — it seems the girls suffered a lot to film the stunning music video!

For the "Next Level" music video, the girls are seen in outfits bedazzled with sequins and sparkles. While it may look pretty, it is often itchy on the skin. While dancing as intensely as aespa did for the music video, the sequins could scratch the skin and cause marks and even scars.

Jun Hyosung sympathized with the girls, saying the outfits immediately stuck out to her due to how painful it looks. Karina joked that it was a "sparkle party," but she appeared sad over how painful the experience was.

The girls then revealed that they did not feel the pain while they were filming the music video. However, after filming was over, they realized that they were in pain and there was only one culprit behind it — the harsh and brutal sequins.
