K-pop idols accepting different luxurious gifts and grand birthday support has always been a hot topic among fans and some artists who choose not to receive any presents at all. Now, SM Entertainment's rookie group aespa has revealed their stance on this issue.
aespa Will Not be Accepting Any Presents for All Scheduled Activities and Other Events
On May 26, aespa's official staff released an announcement through their fan community on LYSN. They stated that the company and aespa members - Karina, Winter, Ningning, and Giselle - won't be accepting any support and gifts anymore.

In particular, presents and support campaigns for all of the rookie group's scheduled activities, aespa-related anniversaries, and birthdays of the members, will no longer be acknowledged.
Support campaigns typically involves lunch boxes or food trucks sent to the location where their favorite K-pop group is carrying out their scheduled activities. These course of actions will now be turned down starting this May.
The SM Entertainment staff then thank the fans for their support, but they will be rejecting any support campaigns and gifts sent to aespa. They also asked for the cooperation and understanding from the fans.

aespa Scores Highest Peak on Gaon Digital Chart among 2020-21 Rookie Groups
In other news, aespa has debuted on the Gaon Digital Chart with their comeback single "Next Level."

On the weekly Gaon Digital Chart for the 21st Week of 2021, aespa's "Next Level" becomes a new entry with a total of 17,623,359 points. The song sits at No. 9, becoming the highest-ranking song by a rookie group on the Gaon Chart for that particular week.
Because of this, aespa has become the fourth idol group in the fourth generation of K-pop to rank inside the top 10 of the Gaon Digital Chart, following ITZY, IZ*ONE, and (G)I-DLE.
In addition, with "Next Level" scoring the No. 9 spot, the track has now hit the highest peak on the digital chart among the songs released by 2020-21 rookie groups.
After aespa's "Next Level" is STAYC's "ASAP," which peaked at No. 15. The third-highest peak is No. 49, which was attained by aespa's debut song "Black Mamba."

Next is ENHYPEN's comeback song "Drunk-Dazed," which rose to No. 118 on the Gaon Digital Chart. And, sitting at No. 5 is STAYC's debut single "SO BAD," which peaked at No. 159.
aespa, STAYC, ENHYPEN are the only 2020-21 rookie groups to enter the Gaon Digital Chart.
Aside from the digital chart, "Next Level" by Karina, Winter, Ningning, and Giselle entered more Gaon Charts for the 21st week of Gaon.
aespa's "Next Level" debuted at No. 7 on the Download Chart, No. 12 on the Streaming Chart, and No. 47on the BGM (Background Music) Chart. Moreover, the quartet re-entered at No. 7 on the Social chart.
