Stray Kids Selected as the Top Idol Group That Perform as if They Ate Their CDs

From May 13 to May 27, StarPlay conducted a poll titled "Best live performed idol who ate their CDs?" In the poll, fans were asked to select the idol groups that they believed have a "CD diet" which allows them to have extraordinary singing skills. They ask fans to pick the idol groups they believed sound just like the studio version when they sing live.

The first-place winner of the poll wins a Seoul Station CM board video advertisement as well as news articles written about their win.

Ranking at number one is Stray Kids, who amassed 56.17% of the total votes! Currently, Stray Kids is competing in Mnet's competition show "Kingdom: Legendary War" against boy groups iKON, BTOB, SF9, ATEEZ, and THE BOYZ. They have been a crowd favorite due to their phenomenal concepts and performances.

Stray Kids' latest musical released was on Mar. 19, 2021. The group released the song "Going Dumb" in collaboration with Swedish producer Alesso and Chinese CJ Corsak for the mobile game version of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, also known as PUBG.

Their last comeback was back on Sept. 14, 2021, with their first studio album, "In Life," which contains the title track "Back Door." The song won two music show wins and was named by TIME Magazine as one of the top ten best songs of 2020, making it the only Korean song on the list.

ENHYPEN Selected as Second Top Idol Group That Perform as if They Ate Their CDs

Ranking in second place and coming after Stray Kids is monster rookie group ENHYPEN! The boy group scored 14.35% of the total votes. Currently, ENHYPEN is preparing to make their Japanese debut with the single album "BORDER : Transient," which will include a Japanese song and Japanese versions of their songs "Given-Taken" and "Let Me In (20 Cube)."

Their most recent comeback was on Apr. 26 with their second mini-album "BORDER : Carnival," which has the title track "Drunk-Dazed." The album debuted at number one on the Oricon Albums Chart, making it their first chart-topper in Japan. "BORDER: Carnival" then debuted at number 18 on the Billboard 200 Chart, with ENHYPEN as a whole ranking at number 18 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart.
