Fans Advertise on the Radio Demanding EXO Chanyeol's Withdrawal From the Group
According to reports on May 30, KST, Korean netizens had heard a radio advertisement that was playing on 89.1MHz KBS's Cool FM radio show, "Yoon Jung Soo and Nam Chang Hee's Mr. Radio," calling for the withdrawal of EXO member, Chanyeol, from the group.
In the radio advertisement, the fans gave a message demanding that SM Entertainment delete Chanyeol's portions from EXO's "EXO Arcade," and that starting from May 31 KST, EXO-L, EXO's fan club, would like to only see the five remaining members of EXO without Chanyeol. In addition, the advertisement said that it's time for SM Entertainment to stop the silence and listen to the voices of fans.

This isn't the first time that fans have demanded Chanyeol be removed from the group. On May 29 KST, fans have put up balloons in front of the building of SM Entertainment. The balloons, which were just floating around the front of the building, had phrases such as "Chanyeol out" and "SM, edit out Chanyeol's parts."
The balloon protests were met with different reactions from fans. While others support the protest, others continue to support Chanyeol.

Why Fans Are Demanding Chanyeol's Withdrawal From EXO
In October 2020, a netizen who claimed to be Chanyeol's ex-girlfriend made a lengthy post on a community forum, where she revealed that she had dated Chanyeol for three years. During the duration of their relationship, Chanyeol had cheated on her with mulitple females, including girl group members, Youtubers, flight attendants, and friends.
Following the controversy, Chanyeol went on a hiatus. In February 2021, Chanyeol returned to social media, where he apologized for the controversy. His return was met with different reactions; however, numerous fans have expressed their disappointment with the idol and demanded his withdrawal from the group.

In other news, Chanyeol will be returning with EXO in their upcoming comeback, "DON'T FIGHT THE FEELING," on June 7, KST.
On March 29, Chanyeol enlisted as an active duty soldier for his mandatory military enlistment. He is the fifth member of EXO to enlist, and it is expected that he will be discharged sometime in September 2022 after 18 months of active service.
