Yang Hyun Suk Charged For Threatening Informant Regarding B.I's Drug Case
According to media outlets on June 7 KST, the violent crimes unit of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office has charged Yang Hyuk Suk without detention for threatening retaliation regarding former iKON member, B.I's drug case, under the Act on Aggravated Punishment for Specific Crimes (retaliation and intimidation) back in May 28, 2021.
In June 2019, the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission had filed a public interest report claiming that Yang Hyun Suk has conciliated, intimidated, and demanded Han Seo Hee, a former idol trainee and the informant, to retract their statement in order to dispel the drug allegations brought against B.I, who is under investigation on the suspicion of drug use back in 2016.

Han Seo Hee later retracted her statements, and B.I was initially acquitted of his drug charges at the time. However, Han Seo Hee had claimed that the investigation on B.I was covered up due to YG Entertainment's connections with the police, and that Yang Hyun Suk was behind it.
In addition, Yang Hyun Suk had admitted to calling Han Seo Hee to his office in YG Entertainment to have a conversation, but denied the allegation of threatening the former trainee to retract her statement. Through several cross-examinations, however, Yang Hyuk Suk's charges were brought by the police through indirect evidences, such as statements from Han Seo Hee, reporters, and statements of those involved with Han Seo Hee and B.I.
